This place isn't just a coffee shop, it's a pillar of the community. Staff are friendly, the drinks are fantastic, seating is plentiful both indoors and outdoors. Weekend hours are intentionally extended to create a sober and affirming gathering place around the clock. The space is used to feature local artists and host community events. Everyone is welcome. And it's worker-owned! If you haven't been here yet, you absolutely need to check it out.

Kind of a quirky vibe , but the staff were so cheerful and excited to help, and this coffee shop was open 24 hrs!!! Which is phenomenal. I got the Hard Times latte which was very similar to a Vietnamese coffee, very good!!

First of all, the coffee and treats are fantastic. Secondly, if you walk away from the place and not feel the love coming from the staff, then you have walked through the wrong door. FINALLY, if you mention War and Peace to my new favorite barista, America, expect them to confuse it with the anime One Piece. :)

The Espresso shake was awesome and the PB&B was alright. Service was nice and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxed outside on the patio and nice inside. The vibe is focused on creating a safe haven/space for the LGBTQ+ community which is respectable and awesome. However, I did notice a sticker inside from CrimethInc which states "Police Not Welcome" which seems to contradict the purpose of CrimethInc's purpose to "create a freer and more joyous world". It's reasonable to have skepticism towards authority or a group you feel threatened by. But maybe be willing to have a conversation with the faction you detest because it's possible that a day will come where someone that doesn't fit the narrative from the detested group will show up and upon seeing such a sticker a civil conversation will already be potentially ruined. The sticker represents old thinking, divisiveness and this current political mentality of "I'm right and you're wrong. End of discussion. Doesn't promote unity or maturity." Don't fight bigotry with bigotry.

These folks are truly a blessing to the community. On their events sign, free HIV testing. In the corner, two fully-stocked bookshelves with food and other necessities for whoever needs it. A sign to donate to a fund to give those without homes a free coffee and pastry. And the owners are great to customers, too! They always make an effort to remember my name and call me by it. They always notice when I come in and when I leave, and strike up a conversation while I'm there.

As for the coffee-ish stuff, they get full marks for their product as well. However, I usually prefer to get the locally sourced tea because I go at night (another FANTASTIC feature- they're open late at night/all night!) They're great at making tea right, so if I get a cup of green, I can trust it won't be bitter from the wrong water temperature. I haven't had a chance to try their extensive collection of yummy pastries yet, but from the looks of it, they're all delectable. They also have a creative selection of espresso drinks.

Another note (ha, pun intended): there's a piano that incredibly talented folks will sit and play. It makes you feel like you're in a movie because of the atmosphere!

I don't go here as often as I should, but I'm trying to change that; if I still lived a block away, I have no doubt I'd be a daily patron. The service is welcoming and wonderful, the drinks are consistently well-made - I've tried the Petunia, which is deliciously decadent, and the Chai, which hit the spot just right - and the little area of items for sale is consistently full of charming goodies (I'm particularly fond of perusing the earrings).
I haven't opted for food yet, but everything I've seen has tempted me significantly. This is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, which I have such a complicated love for, and the city as a whole.

Best coffee shop in the city. Laid back, relaxed, calm, incredibly unique - the heart of Louisville beats loudly here. From the brick patio to the inclusive, welcoming vibe indoors, the friendly people working diligently to take and produce orders, to the handmade-with-love and talent in equal measure jewelry, pottery and more, this coffee shop isn't like anywhere you've been before. I love everything about this place from the drinks, which vary from coffee to Italian soda to teas and more, to what it means and provides to its community. Love y'all!!

I live in Fern Creek and still try my best to visit weekly if I can. Street parking never seems to be an issue, and they even have a variety of games to play while you sit and sip.

I am disgusted by this sign that is posted. An establishment that is all about inclusivity yet is discriminatory against law enforcement. What a nasty gross attitude to have. Just hateful. I will never go back to this place. The thing is….even with a sign such as this posted…if you called 911 and needed help from the police, they would respond and risk their lives to help you or your family without thinking twice. I hope you think about that. What a hateful and nasty message to send to your customers. Do better. Be better.

It has a nice cozy vibe and there were a lot of options for coffee flavor like Ube (purple yam). I’m Filipino so that was nice and they make the syrups in house too. Pastries were were also delicious. They have this croissant with Nutella and while the batch that I got was more bready that pastry it’s still really delicious and had the right amount of salt to complement the Nutella. Baristas we’re okay.

Delightful co-op that was much needed warm up stop after a walking tour in the old historic district. Lots of college crowd, so it's hip and happening, but also the mocha, the house blend coffee and hot chocolate were great. Croissants are hit or miss.
