Lovely place with lovely people and lovely coffee. I am trans and come here with my wife regularly and always feel welcome and safe 🏳️‍⚧️. Coffee and tea are consistently delicious. Food is great as well. Overall great local spot.

Great coffee and great people! A fun and authentic atmosphere -- it's like Goodwill and Tim Horntons had a baby, and that baby has style and flare! Highly recommend! Lots of street parking available, as with most old Louisville spots!

Such a cool place! Very community oriented. The whole place feels like a familiar place to hang out, like you're just chilling with friends. The service is super friendly and the drinks are delicious. Highly recommended for a casual place to grab a coffee and relax for a few hours.

Delightful community hangout. Coffee is delicious with a large selection of different syrup flavors and some great out-of-pocket names for their special drinks. Overall, a great experience with friendly staff, can't wait to come back!

I went to Old Louisville Coffee Co-Op a few months ago and it was so warm and welcoming there, the atmosphere helped to make me less nervous for what was my first time meeting someone in person. Thankful to the staff/owners because they are both lol who were super nice and very friendly and low-key all good looking.

Coffee shop that was so badly needed in the neighborhood. Part coffee shop, part community oriented space. Worker owned. Looking forward to visiting again.

Just amazing.better than Starbucks try the hot chocolate and they Identify as an LGBTQ+ owned. The first time I saw the building was in a march and it led to the coffee shop very pretty I love the Interior so much! And I like that police are not welcome!!!!

I normally don’t leave reviews but I have to for this place. Let me tell you this coffee shop is amazing. The atmosphere was very relaxing and my drink was super good for the price I paid for it. The workers really try to get to know the people who are ordering from them and they even asked me if my name was spelt with an h or without an h which I have never had at another coffee shop before. They had tons of options and the workers are happy to help you figure out what you want to drink. 5/5 star experience I would recommend going here.

This is the New Highland Coffee, but so much more. Those that have been around a while will understand what that means, but for the rest of us: You can expect a friendly environment, chill but energized work space, lovely outdoor seating, and yes - GREAT COFFEE. Plus, isn't this the ideal work model - owned and operated by the baristas themselves! More than all this, they are here with a purpose - they are investing in the community. It's a coffee house that does more.

Old Lou is doing the WERK by creating a safe space for all people, and recreating what it means to be employed. They are creating a space that focuses on the liberation of all people, and do so by making the best coffee goods. This is the most conscious group of folks, who understand the meaning of community and are consistently working toward making the world a better place to live in. If you haven’t had a chance to stop in, I would totally recommend you do so.
