Riverside Cafe

Poor customer service!!! When we got seated at 9:45am, the waitress was very good, she took I ordered properly and kept our glasses full. At 11 o’clock we asked the waitress to check to see when we would be expecting our food. After another 10 minutes and the waitress not returning, we decided to leave. We were pretty irritated about the wait and approached the cashier to pay for the two drinks, Who made the comment that we would probably have to wait lot longer to get our food. I told him we probably won’t be back and he threw the money back at me and said, “don’t even come back”! And we won’t be back! When having an in-house problem the customer shouldn’t have to deal with such rude and poor customer service!

Met the kids here for breakfast. They live in Derby. The hash was decent, hashbrowns cold, waitress was nice, but the place is filthy. Dead flies in the windowsill. Vents above the tables are dirty. Booths torn up. I get with covid, things have been shut down, not enough help, but if the front area looks like that, worried about the parts we cannot see.

It was my first visit today!
I ordered to go. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Not a very long wait. My Mom loved her surprise food!!!
Will be visiting again and hopefully in the future eating there.

Great food! Was chilling there for about an hour and didn't run out of coffee ONCE. The staff was constantly topping off my coffee and checking in to see if me or my wife needed anything. Food was 5/5

Really good food for a great deal too! My husband usually gets a burger - their fries are amazing!!! I like the meatloaf dinner - it comes with a ton of food for a great price! The only thing on the pricey side is their pie, but it's worth a special treat now and then!

Classic American diner. Exactly what you expect for a restaurant of this type. Did we slightly above par though.

Food is here is always good. The service is hit or miss. You are either served right away or left waiting for a menu for 10 minutes. Their fries and amazing, as well as their homemade ranch. If only the service was the same quality as the food, and this would be the perfect restaurant.

Waffle who......Waffle House has been erased from our families vocabulary. Staff was AWESOME. We came 4 months ago before we moved here. Not only did the staff remember us, but they remembered our order to the T. All love for this place and staff.

Great place when you want home cooked but don't want to cook.

Im leaving a 4 star simply because we've never had any issues with the service and hospitality. But the food...was terrible this visit. The BLTs toasted was basically a brick. Potato soup was overly salty, fries were burnt. The chili and the server were the best parts of the visit.
