Riverside Cafe

Ordered an Open faced beef sandwich, mashed potatoes and brown gravy, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy. The gravy was VERY salty. The meat was salty too! Drove all the way back to return the food and get a refund of nearly $35 just to find out they only give store credit. I'm currently throwing up and have diarrhea from the food I ingested. Was only 3 bites. It's all I had to eat all day. VERY disappointing to say the least!! They replaced the chicken fried steak with hamburger and fries and when the container was opened? The fries appeared to be burnt. The waitress said it's because the oil was old and needed to be changed. I threw it ALL away!! Their excuse for the overly salty gravy was they didn't know what happened cause all they do is add water to the gravy. I DEFINITELY won't return!! Wished I knew how to post a picture!! I'm not sure if new owners took over or what happened but it's DEFINITELY NOT the Riverside Cafe we remember!

Had the open face hot roast beef. One of the best I've ever had. Service was great. Will be back.

Good food really nice people.

The reuben sandwich was OK. Thousand island dressing as a diping side new to me. Nice because it allowed me to decide how much to use. Wife's burger nothing special. Fries were cold. Just us and 2 other customers so no excuse for that.

BIG menu so will probably return for a second try.

We just spent $50 with tip and the food wasn't even worth it. When we first went to the one on 13th Street years ago it was worth the money now they've overspent and gave you less food. The only thing we had was the junkyard dog combo platter side of onion rings tea and coffee and none of all that is worth $50 for two people.

The food was fantastic and the servers were amazing!

Food was served hot, and I thought very plentiful for the cost. Staff was friendly.
I gave it a four only because I didn’t see the option for gluten-free toast nor some type of fruit.

The atmosphere and breakfast is amazing. The staff is on their game and good at what they do. Cleanliness in non-food areas could use some attention. I have revisited many times and will be going back.

The service was great, the food was prepared perfectly, and the restaurant was clean and free of clutter. All in all, it is a great place that I highly recommend.
