Riverside Cafe

We walked in and there was only 1 other table with guests. So they were not busy. I ordered the club on white and it arrived on wheat. I sent it back and it was returned with just the bread swapped out. They didn’t even bother to put mayo on it. It was brought on the side. The meat got cold and the veggies got warm. The fries also got cold during the swap out. I wanted to send it back again but didn’t. My wife was supposed to get a roll with her dinner and we had to ask for that as well. Overall the service was poor. The food was ok but not great.

The food was great and so was the service. Great place to eat.

Fantastic food...get there early...the place was packed. Great food...great service..large portions...take your appetite!!!

Truly a diamond in the rough!!
Unfortunately we only come through Derby a few times a year.
Today we had empty bellies and many hundreds of miles to make for our return trip back home.
Today's special of chicken fried steak and eggs won out for 2 of us. Let me tell you.... this tasty, giant sized portion is more than enough fuel to get you down the road let's not forget the eggs, hashbrowns and toast that accompany it!! This is a meal that could be shared between a "couple" even those (like us) who are on the plus side.
Now my 6ft 250# 13yr old son ordered and devoured the chicken fried chicken sandwich. He chose tots as his side but couldn't eat them after inhaling his sandwich.
We will definitely be stopping in more frequently on our trips through Derby.

Good food, order got a little mixed up but that was taken care of IMMEDIATELY. Service was great. Coffee never got below half cup. Was very pleased they serve PrairieFire Coffee. In my opinion the best around.

The burnt hash browns tasted like like they were cooked on extremely old grease, coffee tasted like flavored water. There was a nasty grease taste in my mouth after I left there that was nauseated.... our waitress was attentive but the place should be shut down for the food alone..... will NEVER go in there again. Oh and the womens bathroom was filthy! Didn't want to touch anything.

Our breakfast was cooked to perfection based on our liking. The syrup for our pancakes and waffles was Hot which spot on! My coffee was hot and fresh also.We will be back.

We had dinner there and it was so good, will go back when in the area.

Perfectly prepared breakfast. I relaxed there for over an hour. Perfect for that. My tea was regularly filled by my wonderful waitress, Melissa. Everyone was so nice.
