This place is an absolute gorgeous hidden gem! The vibes are stunning with plants, seating, coffee and teas, and lots of produce selling! A couple friends and I stopped by after brunch and the staff was just so lovely. The sun was shining through all their windows and they have a few historic artifacts over the walls. Everyone got to try something different!

Bistro Market & Deli is a great place to relax with friends. Try there many flavors of coffee and/or a bite to eat. (Their Turkey Bri sandwich is fantastic). The owner, Mary Finnegan, helped me hand pick an assortment of mushrooms to make a mushroom soup for a small gathering at my home. The soup was a hit and was absolutely delicious using a variety of her fresh mushrooms. I have included pics of the soup process.

If 100 stars were available, I’d give the Bistro Market that! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and knows all of their products. Recently I stopped in for some mussels (I had been to two Payless’s, two fresh Thymes and one Meijer!) lol. Alas I found them at our little Bistro Market downtown!!! Not only did they have mussels; they SHARED a recipe with me!! My fiancé and I have “Date nights” at home where we make dinner with our kids. The Markets mussel recipe along with a shrimp linguine recipe were amazing and even our kids liked both dishes! Again, I can’t say enough about the home town feeling and staff that goes out of their way to help you! If you’ve never been, it’s a MUST GO place not only downtown, but in all of Lafayette !!!! Thank again, Bistro 501 Market! Pictures to follow!

Great coffee shop and space. Haven’t tried the deli counter food. The market piece is a huge disappointment- 90% of all items I’ve picked up to purchase in the last 6 months has been well past it’s best by or sell by date (I visit every 2 weeks or so, and tried to do some local holiday shopping here). I want to contribute locally to this lovely space, and am willing to pay the higher prices for the for boutique market experience, but not when the shelved items have expired! There was a recently advertised addition i went into purchase today and one entire product line had expired in December and yet was just added to the shelves last week. Makes me think they purchase old items to sell. Gross.

I love this place! It’s gorgeous inside, the coffee counter has some different selections and really good bagels. The deli has amazing sandwiches and the best matzo ball soup I’ve ever had. If you go there for anything, make it the soup. They have lots of unique grocery items and I’ve been able to find some more unique ingredients there. It’s also nice to get some of my farmers market favorites in the off season. Their stock isn’t alway super consistent, but it’s clear they have seasonal produce and are always trying new items. I always find something to try. Very nice addition to downtown and a nice quick place to grab lunch.

Great little market in a much needed place for downtown Lafayette. Excellent selection of local goods and ingredients.

I recommend getting a James Moon coffee from the cafe.

Came in and got a sandwich from the deli, an excellent take on a cuban, so delicious

Just got the Wanpaku Tom Wrap on my latest visit and it was a great light wrap. One of the staff at the deli remembered I had ordered it last time I was here and had to switch because they didn't have the ingredients. All to say excellent staff remembered not just me but my order and this was only my second time getting a sandwich here.

I got a hot pastry and iced latte here for breakfast. Both were delicious. I also ordered a charcuterie board for two to go. They customize the boards based on how many people you are serving and they are always made to order. The charcuterie board looks absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be ordering more in the future, especially when I host get-togethers. The best part was that everything was really well priced!

Hands down the coolest of cool places in Lafayette for food, coffee, and hanging out. Try their Reuben sandwich if you come. It is the best in the world!

A downtown Lafayette gem. Convenient market with fantastic coffee, fresh produce, delicious Jewish deli, and quality local goods. Highly recommend as a routine stop.

Stopped here on our way to Chicago and were delighted to find this surprise lunch option along the way. We had sandwiches mounded with delicious fresh ingredients (lobster roll, even!) and a lovely setting to enjoy it at outside tables of their sister restaurant. The owner is very friendly and will share information about her place, which she is understandably enthusiastic about. The market also has well-thought-out items to add to your own kitchen and home. I will return.
