My friend and I visited and had a tea service for $30 a person. It included three plates of finger food for sharing, brown sugar butter, lemon curd, pear butter, clotted cream and two pots of tea.
The owners are so sweet, and let us wander to their tea wall to smell everything before deciding. This was dangerous, as the tea smelled wonderful, had local options, and was AFFORDABLE. blown away.
Lovely experience. Highly recommend.

I'm impressed that we have such a nice brunch place in Lafayette! The interior is pretty. I love the food presentation, french style. Our server and the restaurant employees were very nice too.

We just had lunch and every single thing was so good! All of the food was really flavorful, light and well balanced (perfect to have with a pot of tea 😊). My favorite food item was the red cabbage and asparagus salad. Both of our teas were also awesome and the tea selection was great! Our waitress also did a great job 😊 This will definitely be a regular spot for us.

Extremely wide selection of teas from around the world. Had the Orange Creamsicle waffle with some Oolong tea. Tea was delicious, will be back soon!

This place is a really great addition to downtown! As a tea person, it’s so nice to have a place to buy high quality loose leaf tea but even better to have a cafe with plenty of tea options.
It’s nice and big inside with an even split between parlor type seating and restaurant seating with a beautiful wall of loose leaf tea and plenty of tea paraphernalia-again so nice to get a lot of that locally!
I haven’t had brunch or afternoon tea there yet, but am looking forward to trying it. The only downside is there’s no wifi, otherwise it would be the perfect place to work for a couple of hours with a pot of tea.

I recently visited Flying High Tea after hearing many positive things about it. I loved the atmosphere and decor--the space was open, bright, and airy and the decorations/wall art were subtle and very nicely done. The tea selection was comprehensive and our server was able to answer my questions about the various teas in order to help me select one to order with my meal. After eating I ventured over to the wall of tea to make some selections to purchase and take home with me. There was a wide variety of teas (black and otherwise), each with a sample for smelling before purchasing. Flying High also offers many tea-related items for sale: tea pots, tea cups, reusable tea diffusers, etc. All in all it was a very nice experience.

My reason for giving four stars rather than five is the pricing on the food. I ordered an appetizer of deviled eggs and a bowl of potato soup, thinking this would make a nice-sized lunch. The deviled eggs were priced at $6.50 so I thought I would receive four deviled eggs (a total of two whole eggs) that I could share with my dining partner. I was very surprised when the eggs arrived and there were two half eggs, each with minimal filling, on the plate. $6.50 for one egg is excessive, even considering the high price of eggs these days. The soup was priced at $10.00 so I anticipated a hearty serving. What I received was a wide, shallow bowl filled about half full, maybe 1/2" deep, approximately 3/4 cup of soup. The soup was very good; silky smooth, flavored very nicely, and the presentation was beautiful. However, it was a very small serving for the price.

I'm happy that Lafayette has a good place for hot tea and tea-related items and I will likely go back to buy tea to brew at home. However, I'm not likely to order off the food menu again.

Went here over the weekend with my husband. The staff was nice, funny, and accommodating. I've done high tea in a few different places, and I did appreciate that they don't sneer at you if you show up in jeans. The tea wall is nice, the selection very good and thank god, they have tester jars! Tea prices are reasonable, and I like that that it is graded accordingly, so you're not getting charged single-estate second flush prices on a herbal blend that is clearly not as expensive to produce. The pricing is sensible for those who actually know what tea is worth in terms of cost. Packages have various sizing options too if you just want a taste and aren't ready to commit. Their loyalty club idea is cute and promotes going outside the box in your tastes. I can't speak to the overall food, since I just popped in without a reservation, but I did get a tea at the bar. Milk options, flavor options, sweetener options, all varied and available for those of us with allergies - very nice. If I had a critique, I would love more of a selection of items to buy alongside, like rock sugars, or different types of tea strainers. The stuff they have is cute, but it goes more toward the "novelty shop" style stuff instead of tea culture type stuff. They are newly opened though, so maybe it'll be there in the future. I feel, the closer you get to the original Teavana, the better for business - they were always packed. Yeah though, I'll be back for more.

Such an amazing spot for a brunch date! The food was really tasty without being overly rich or heavy. Plus, a great selection of teas. Will be back soon!

I am not one that likes to sit idle. However, when I come to Flying High Tea, I enjoy sitting and enjoying different teas. The scones are to die for. The staff is amazing friendly and very helpful with tea choices. If you want to relax and enjoy some quiet time, then I recommend here. It is now my wife and I ritual.

Delightful selection of teas. Don't miss checking out the wall where you can smell little jars of all the teas- an experience in itself! Loose leaf teas available for purchase.

The fixed menu for brunch (highly recommend booking at least a day or two in advance) includes hot and iced tea, appetizer, salad or soup, entree, and desert. It's perfectly portioned (you won't feel overly full afterwards). Flavors were light and summery, very lightly seasoned. Be sure to try the Creme Brulee!

Service was prompt and pleasant, decor tasteful. We will definitely be back!
