We ordered the mushroom barbacoa entree, which to me didn't taste like it was slow roasted like beef barbacoa and it wasn't served with rice or tortillas. It was more like a stir fry served with pasta. Fortunately. it was delicious.
The waitress was wonderful.
The restaurant feels a little business-meetingy to me but the food and cocktails are so good it didn't matter.

Very enjoyable atmosphere and friendly staff. Their food is delicious! Options for indoor and outdoor seating, both are nice. Service was very prompt even though they were busy. Lots of seafood choices. Save room for dessert, you will not be disappointed! Indoor seating is spacious, and they do have a room for private dining.

A group of us went for Sunday brunch. Being our first time here, we really enjoyed the look and ambiance of the place. For the most part, everyone enjoyed their food. I thought my Chicken Tortilla soup was among the best I've ever had, although it could have been served a tad hotter. The one real disappointment at our table was my wife's Street Tacos which were surprisingly tasteless. Overall, we feel like Proximo is worthy of our recommendation, subject to your menu choices.

This restaurant has been wonderful as well as accommodating! The staff is very attentive and the managers are always on the floor communicating for positive or negative feedback because they care about both their restaurant as well as the relationships with customers. This will be a new favorite and there are only 3...

Fantastic setting for great cocktails. The food was delicious and our service was great. My only regret is not having taken more pictures.

The shrimp sope is EXCELLENT!! Big enough to be an entree even though it's touted as an appetizer. Guac and chips were ok. Also had the shrimp and grits which was good but wish the grits were creamier. The hibiscus lemon tart was yummy as well. I never have a bad meal here.

The scallop dish, though beautifully plated and cooked well were gritty, and the rice was all one flavor that I have actually made myself from a hello fresh box. My spouse enjoyed the duck dish. The best part of the meal was the warm, sticky spice cake desert.

The food and service was great. It is kind of like a casual fine dining with a high price point. I will say for the amount of food you get if you're not that hungry 2 people can split a meal because I got the Lamb Shank for $33 you get what you paid for but way too much food for one person to eat. Drinks we're great too. Overall I would go back but not for awhile. It was good but not amazing. And plan on spending at least $100 or more for 2 people if you get food and drinks.
