Wow. Let me tell you this is THEE best restaurant I have been to all year. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing, our waiter Aaron was phenomenal. He was very informative and helped us with understanding the menu and gave recommendations. He recommended the Milk Punch, I was skeptical by the name, but he was not kidding it was so smooth and tasty. My husband wished hed ordered it as well. You need to go for that drink alone! I had duck for the first time, cooked to absolute perfection. My husband had the shrimp and grits and he was blown away. It was also my husbands birthday and he was given a complimentary dessert of his choice. This restaurant was top tier and we will gladly make the 2.5 hour drive to come back again. You will not be disappointed eating here!

Excellent food, every ingredient cooked well. The way the flavors blended were well thought out. Bloody Mary was great too. Service was fantastic

Hands-down the best meal I’ve ever had. Every bit of our dinner was amazing start-to-finish!
My husband and I shared the coriander salad *chef’s kiss*, he got the 14 day dry aged pork chop and I got the cuban chicken. I could eat that meal everyday for a long time. Our server, Aaron was also fantastic. He knew the menu very well and made my husband and I feel like his only table even though I know he had many.
We will come here again and I already can’t wait!

This place is amazing. If you want perfectly executed dishes with complex amazing layers of flavors at the molecular gastronomy level, this is the place. I had the duck braised in mole sauce with an amazing garnish. Ifbyou can't move beyond steak and potatoes flavor profile, stay home. If you can, this place is one of the top ten I've eaten at and I eat at many places like this.

Proximo is a unique eatery nestled in downtown Fort Wayne. Upon arrival we were greeted by tasteful decor, open view kitchen, full bar, and wrap-around patio. Our attentive server allowed us the opportunity to order from any menu of our choice, at our request. This is a valuable option for fellow travelers who may desire breakfast for dinner, or an early dinner. A few dinner items may take additional time to prepare out side of normal hours. We settled on our selections of Columbian Ceviche, Curry Farro, Vegan Mushroom Barbacoa, and Street Taco's. Every item was beautifully assembled with quality ingredients, the bold flavorful combinations, were delicious, and exceeded expectations in every way. The Street Tacos featured 3 meat selections each busting with flavor and perfectly prepared, served with 3 flour and 3 corn tortillas on a make your own platter.

I have been to Proximo's twice and have come back for the quality & tasty dishes. Today was my second time and went for the Brunch time. Although I had to wait for about 45 minutes for my food - the manager has come and apologized for the long delay, offering the tab on the house.

I want to highlight customer service of both server and manager for owning the issue for the food delay.

Here is the points I am reviewing this restaurant:
1. Quality of customer service is excellent
2. Quality of food is outstanding delicious
3. Atmosphere is pleasantly relaxing

This is a great place for whether you have a date or take the family for a nice meal.

Would I come back? = Absolutely!
Would I recommend it? = YES!

We visited for dinner on New Years Eve, and weren’t disappointed a bit. The restaurant offers a South American inspired menu (not Mexican or Spanish, think Peru and Ecuador), with a really nice variety of land or sea proteins. The kitchen is open to the dining room and the overall setting is modern but still casual. The wine and cocktail options are top notch. Food is unique and fun, considering how far we are from South America, service was knowledgeable and timed our evening perfectly. Reservations recommended and were easy though Open Table. If you want a fun night in downtown Fort Wayne, and are looking for a good experience this is a good choice.

The carnita was delicious and the breakfast tacos were fantastic (bacon, chicken, & chorizo). The Hibiscus lemon tard & Torta de Mil Hojas were incredible!
