Update: I finally had some dinner here. The pasta was good and chicken cooked well. Wasn't like in-your-face flavor, but adequate. My wife said her paella didn't wow her either. Again, was adequate. The drinks as well were on par, not amazing. I think it's how much you pay that brings it down. IMO the price isn't justified. However, service was excellent. They made it great for wife's birthday. Overall it'd be a better experience with more flavorful dishes during dinner, but still great place. Took dessert home, they were great.
(From earlier) Excellent brunch. The Benedict dish with carnitas was excellent. The service was excellent, even let me take a hot tea to go. Loved it and I'm hard to please sometimes. Go here now!

I made reservations for a surprise birthday party in a private room at Baker Street Steakhouse. Through an unfortunate series of mistakes and miscommunications my reservation was cancelled.
I was contacted by the owner of Baker Street Steakhouse, James who personally took time to speak with me. Not only did he speak with me, he heard me. I was not rushed and I feel he genuinely cared.
I was treated as a person and not just another lost sales opportunity. He went above and beyond to fix all of the wrongs and then some. James arranged for my mothers party to be held at another one of his restaurants, Proximo. He personalized the menu which even said Happy Birthday Karen, he even gave complimentary chocolates and gift cards, and treated the entire party like his own family. Everyone left the restaurant with an amazing experience.
The service was phenomenal. No one's glass was ever less than half full, the food was superb, quick, and friendly service was experienced all night.
From this experience I have learned that when Baker Street says they want you to be treated like family, they truly mean it! This has opened my eyes and gives me hope that there are still decent people among us. A business that cares.
In a world where customer service is failing Baker Street is rising to the top and proving themselves a top performer.
The way Baker Street responded to this mistake was absolutely amazing and I can not say enough good things at this point. James and his staff created a fairy tale situation for my mother and I am forever grateful! The party was better than anything I could do and the attention to detail was unmatched.
Thank you Baker Street and Proximo we'll see ya'll soon!

The Cary Team had come here while we were visiting the Ft Wayne area and the place was just amazing from the time you walk in and first notice the decor. Then to the food and service . I will say service could’ve been a little quicker but the food was really great! We had a good time bonding as a team here to.

Had a little rough start to our dining experience. We were told the wait was 40 minutes but didn't get our notification that our table was ready for 56 minutes. Which that wasn't the issue it was it was another 23 minutes after our notice our table was ready before we were actually taken in to the resturant. Our server (Elena) was really nice and did a great job keeping our drinks filled and answered any questions we had. The food had some flavors that were new but it was tastey. It was about $17-20 a plate with some dishes more in price. After we were in the resturant we had a good experience.

I visited Proximo for the first time this past Sunday to celebrate my mom's 82nd birthday. Our server was wonderful. She gave us her recommendations and when we had a question on something she had an answer right away. The food was amazing and the almond mimosa really hit the spot. My mom also received a free dessert for it being her birthday. The restaurant is decorated nicely, upscale but not snooty. The floor to ceiling windows, and with the restaurant being on a corner, it gave you a nice view of downtown. Since city living is still fairly new to me, the downtown location was fun. (minus the jerk that yelled at my dad for turning a little slow into the parking garage.... classy dude... really classy). The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is due to it being rather noisy in there. It was hard to have a conversation without having to shout. I will definitely eat there again.
