Anniversary dinner for my daughter and son-in-law and the dining experience was absolutely fabulous! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a personable and very attentive hostess. William, our very informative and helpful server, was at the top of his game; answering every question we had and even making suggesting modifications that enhanced our special requests. Appetizers were amazing, well presented and delicious. I believe William had a twin assisting him; whether it was wine, club soda or coffee, drinks were always fresh. And the food was nothing less than spectacular in presentation, unique tastes and expected texture. Deserts were equally incredible. I’m certain they’re all good servers but when we go again, William will be our server.
The combination of outstanding service, impressive presentation, not overwhelming tentativeness and unique tastes, made it made this Anniversary Diner one that will long be remembered! Don’t pass this one up!

Amazing restaurant. Atmosphere is great. Feels brand new with a very nice and modern vibe. Food is spectacular. Everything on the menu is spread out across sweet from spicy, which is great. Staff is amazing too. Even though they may have a lot on their hands they still get to you and take your order. Overall an amazing restaurant that I would definitely come to again!!

Beautiful place, amazing service but food was underwhelming. I ordered the Lomo Saltado and was very disappointed. For those who know about the famous Peruvian dish, mine was lacking the beef tenderloin (lomo) strips and lots of other things. My lomo saltado dish was just rice with shrimp and baby scallops. For a dish that was $21, I was greatly disappointed. I don't think my dish was all to fancy and had the ingredients of an Aldi shopping run. Now the place is beautiful and service is top notch. I just was really disappointed by the dish I got. Some of the other dishes look nicer. The Duck Empenda looked amazing. I'd still give this place another try.

This was our second visit here. Food is delicious and the staff here goes above and beyond. Tried the street tacos this time! Very nicely plated and enough to split with two. The duck tamale is the favorite appetizer!

Tonight we enjoyed our first dinner at Proximo. We've had several delicious brunches at this location, but tonight was our first evening dining experience. My husband and I treated my mother to a much deserved night out.
Every appetizer and dish was perfect. Tonight a sweet and sour squid option was available as an appetizer, and we were blown away by the nuance if the flavor and how flawlessly executed the finished dish was as it arrived sizzling to our table. The Paella, Scallops Diablo, and Caribbean Halibut were also examples of perfectly executed and artfully designed recipes. The cocktails were delicious with gorgeous presentation. While the price may not make this place a viable weekly option for most, it is certainly a worthwhile and deserving choice for a special night out.
The icing on the cake for us tonight was the service. Our server was Jess, and she brought an enthusiasm and energy that added so much positivity to our night out. She provided such vivid descriptions of her favorite dishes, and also of tonight's special offerings. She was kind and helpful, and also informative in a very friendly way. A great server can add a lot to a special dinner out - in a way that is often underrated. Jess definitely went out of her way to make sure our dining experience was one we would all enjoy. We appreciated her efforts and her professional expertise as she helped us to navigate the menu and make our selections.
I recommend Proximo without reservation. And if you visit and are able to request a server - you should ask for Jess. She's pretty awesome, and was very kind to my mother in a way that made me very grateful.

I was very happy with my Cuban chicken, with substitution of tofu for the chicken!! I wanted this meatless version. It came with black beans and delightfully flavored rice, with pico de gallo and marinated red onion. Everything was subtilly-flavored, with some green sauce drizzled over the perfectly-fried tofu. Very professionally cooked and served! The quantity was certainly adequate, with proportions of the rice, tofu and beans quite appropriate for a balanced gustatory experience. I gobbled it up, very pleased.
The waiter was from England, and very professional. I took one of his recommendations for my entree. The restaurant, itself, is very chic and high-class. The prices are, perhaps, mid-range, but fairly reasonable for what one gets.
I plan on returning with eagerness!

I'd heard great things about Proximo, so I was excited to try it. Did not disappoint!! We had the cevicha appetizer, delicious. I ordered shrimp and grits for my meal - ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! Very flavorful and way more shrimp than I expected. Service was wonderful, even despite the fact that we came about a half hour before they closed (sorry Proximo staff!). I feel the price point is correct; there are plenty of other places in Fort Wayne where you'll pay the same price for something not nearly as special. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, WILL BE BACK!
