This is my go-to place for coffee in Wilmette. It's the hub of downtown. The owner, Katie, and the entire staff are so friendly. This is the "Cheers" of Wilmette...without the beer. I love their cappuccinos, but their tea sets are so adorable that I'm becoming a tea drinker, too.

Staff was amazingly friendly, good coffee (Intelligencia), and cute shop. Will go again when we’re in the area.

Central Station is a welcome addition to Wilmette. They serve a great cup of coffee in a newly remodeled interior that is bright and welcoming. The owner is building her business with an eye toward maintaining quality and a great guest experience. When I stopped in the Latte I ordered was smooth and creamy and the ham and cheese croissant was heated perfectly. It's my understanding that an expanded menu with sandwiches and more traditional lunch items is planned in the coming months. I look forward to seeing this new business grow. I also heard a rumor there might be live music. What a great place.

I have thought carefully about leaving a review, because typically I don't like to leave negative reviews. The staff here is very friendly, and it seems like the place is lively. There is a nice atmosphere. However, after coming here a few times and hoping for different results, I have been disappointed with the quality of the drinks (a quality that the prices do not reflect). I have worked in the coffee industry for several years. Each time I have ordered a hot drink here, the milk has not been steamed correctly. The texture is extremely disappointing, there are no micro bubbles, and the temperature varies wildly. One drink I had was too hot, and the other drink I had was too cold. This is not reflective of specialty coffee standards, and I feel that the prices are way too high for drinks that are made without the proper training.

Latte was delicious and pastries by HEWN. Would definitely recommend.

We decided to try some new places in Wilmette (we're from Evanston) and Central Station Coffee was a great choice. The coffee was decently priced (3.50 for double espresso) and their black iced tea was flavorful but not overly-strong. The service is excellent and attentive. They came out to the sidewalk tables to both deliver and clear items - a rarity in coffee cafes. If you're wandering Wilmette and are looking for either a quick stop or a nice place to sit downtown, Central Station Coffee and Tea is a great choice.

Cute place with lots of seating and some outlets. Outdoor seating as well.
