Cook's Spice Rack & Chili

We first had their food at the Visions by JDR Holistic Fair at the Illinois State Fair Grounds. I feel in love with their chili, the Terlingua Red Chili is delicious. We try to stop in when we are in the area. Goldie and the rest of the staff treat guest like family. We had the Sweet Potato tots, I had Black Pot chili dog with shredded cheese and chips It was more than I could eat in one meal) and my husband had Hamburger Horseshoe with yellow and white cheese (he said it was soooo gooood!)

Happy to get gluten free toast and pancakes here! The food was great.

The food is always wonderful!! The service is always spectacular!! Down home great homemade food!! Hands down one of the best small restaurants ever! They have a little bit of everything!!

I had to wait over 40 minutes for my food to come out. I love moms and pops restaurants. I will never return.

It is a cozy family place where even the other customers are super friendly. The food was great and we will definitely go back.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the staff is amazing. The cook that sings in the back is definitely my favorite part though 🤣

Cute little gem of a place. Very nice, laid back staff and good food. Not many places you can get smoked beef brisket for breakfast! Can't wait to go back and try the chili!

I order the Chicken Fried Steak dinner for breakfast. They really treat you well here. The place is nice and cozy. If you feel like having a quiet conversation with friends and family go in and take up a whole room there. The staff is very nice and constantly make sure your ok!

Embarrassed to say that this is my first time at Cook's! It was amazing. We got there early and the owner let us come in and drink coffee until they were ready. The service was beyond great! The breakfast was amazing and the atmosphere is perfect. I can't wait to go back and get dinner some time...
