Cook's Spice Rack & Chili

I tried the green chili. It was so flavorful and had protein in the cannoli beans. It's in a nice homemade chicken broth. It was not spicy but it was flavorful. We tried pork tenderloin horseshoe. It was moist and crunchy. Instead of fries we got homemade tater tots. Those are wonderful. I tried a brisket patty melt. So good delicious moist. I got half French fries and half homemade onion rings. And of course being the Springfield girl I had to have a side of the white cheese sauce. It is made with real monterey jack and real milk. Smooth wonderful texture and taste. Everything there is homemade. The owner was so nice and talked to us for quite a bit. Compared recipes. She has deep fried ribs. She has specials everyday. You can get the burnt ends of fajitas meat everyday. Large smoker in the back. Great place to go definitely recommend it

So happy they have reopened my go to for Saturday, Sunday breakfast never had anything bad there. Wide variety of chili's. So friendly and willing to engage with their customers. Use to be a place to find a exceptional variety of hot sauces and hot popcorn hopefully they bring that too

Very good food, unique dining experience in a house. We had a mix up with service, but I feel that is not the norm. I would go back and like to try it again.

Absolutely wonderful Mom N Pop eats. Super kind people for sure. Family owned for a long time. Local hot spot for dining. Cant wait until eggs benidict returns. You wont be dissapointed.

Goldie and her team have been missed! The food is just as good as it always had been. Ive been coming to Cooks since i was a teenager and have never had bad service nor bad food. People complain about the small price increase, i often wonder if they've been to a walmart recently.?!

Glad to see them open again. Nice improvements to inside. New paint and all the dusty wall hangings gone! Not sure on the yellow cheese sauce, will have to try white cheese next time. Egg shoe was ok, little on small side. Prices have gone up, which I guess should be expected. 35.00 for breakfast is a little steep.

Love this place! Great food and the best service! I eat breakfast here every Friday.

So glad to see one of my favorite restaurants back open. Always friendly service, and their smoked meats are simply amazing. Looking forward to seeing more spices and hot sauces on the rack in the lobby.
