This place is cute and has lots of seating. You order in line, kind of cafeteria style, and take a buzzer to your table so they can find you. If your food is ready (pastry, etc.) you take it on a tray with you. Service was very friendly and the wait wasn’t long at all. I thought the food was tasty, but not the best I’ve ever had. I enjoyed the hashbrowns served with cheese on top. The eggs in the sandwich were fluffy, but could have used some salt and pepper. Overall a tasty breakfast and with such a big menu, I’d come back and try other items.

I think they forgot the meat! I have been coming to Cafe Moxo for so many years. I love this place and the fact that it is locally owed. However the last few visit have been disappointing. The portion sizing on the sandwiches is sad to say the least. They told me they weigh out the meet now and should be 3.5 oz. Either way this is not enough meat for a Sandwich at the price they are charging. Sadly Cafe Moxo is not worth the money for me any longer and I will have to look for a new place for lunch.

This restaurant was simply OK… I am perplexed by the high ratings. The quality of the food was not what we were expecting: we ordered the biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito and Chicken pot pie. The flavors were just bland and represented cafeteria-quality cuisine. With that said, the location was intriguing and the employees were generous.

You will not find finer people at any establishment in town. For that reason alone, I would go here even if the food sucked. But it doesn’t. Everything is good, but a few highlights for me are the tomato bisque (yes, the rumors are true—I did eat a whole quart of it at one sitting.); chicken pot pie, pasta salad (why get a bag of chips with your sandwich when this is available?); ANY cookie, and the Salty Dog on ice.
Full disclosure—my daughter works here, but she did not coerce me in any way to write this review.

Always friendly, efficient, and, just as important, always a clean environment.

The coffee is a hit or a miss, which is unfortunate but not a big deal. I am hoping for some more menu adjustments in the future that have more vegan or vegetarian breakfast food besides avocado toast and french toast.

Soup is amazing and love their lunch options

1st time visit, nice place. Bigger than I expected on the inside! Food was delicious, && the 2 young ladies at the counter were very patient and helpful while being busy!! Turtle Mocha, The Salty Dog, and the Chedder Bacon Biscuit I threw in last minute was very yummy!! && it was a BIG + the biscuit was still warm off the plate!! Highly reccommend!! 😋😋

I love this place. I come anytime I’m in Springfield. The staff are always so friendly and attentive and they get your food out quickly. My favorite is the gobble gobble , with the cranberry cream cheese it’s amazing! Thanks for always making me feel so welcomed 🤍

Recently ordered lunch for a work meeting for 30 people. Food was amazing, every single order was correct, delivery was right on time and they even let me do a last minute add on the morning of. Outstanding!

Good range of vegetarian food. Reasonable prices, great staff and ambiance. One of the coolest places in Springfield Illinois to eat.

We arrived about 11:30am which helped avoid the lunch rush. Parking can be an issue. But even if you have to park a block away, it's well worth the walk.
