Blue Box Cafe

The place is perfect if you are a Doctor Who fan. As well the coffee and food is really good at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend the place, the employees are very kind.

Table was extremely sticky. After our coffee we went for a short walk and came back cause my friend had to use the restroom before we had to leave and was given attitude saying it was only for customers. They were friendly when we first walked in. (Not bad or good but for those that care they were more strict with mask and REQUIRES them to order anything)

Lovely little place, very charming in its nerdiness. Sandwiches and soup were great, but the coffee specials really just tasted like plain coffee. Pretty expensive too. Service was good, very friendly and attentive staff.

Nice little cafe in downtown elgin - the coffee and the sandwiches were great - big selection.

We always have very good food & the staff is very kind and happy. Looking forward to when we can eat in the cafe, sit and relax. The selection of soups and sandwiches are to die for, well maybe die for but are out of this world like the Tarrus did I spell that correctly. Anyway the prices are very good for the quality of food you get. Good job staff, take care and be good and stay healthy.

Soup and sandwiches with character. Pretty decent soup and sandwiches. I'm not a big fan of Dr Who, but that didn't stop me from enjoying their food. The staff always brightens my day too. They also have very cozy gatherings from time to time.

If you don't order ahead, be prepared to wait at least ten minutes for one cold sandwich. I got the Italian and I wish I would have noticed that they put sweet pickles on it. I've never had an Italian with sweet pickles. They were so thick and overly sweet, they completely overpowered the sandwich. I couldn't even taste the meat or the hot peppers I paid extra for. The employees are nice, though.

Good customer service, however I was pretty disappointed with my order. I ordered a tuna salad & they added cheese on it which ruined it for me, not sure why they would add something I didn't ask for, didn't have this issue last time.

Not to big place with great atmosphere. Reuben made "their way" is delicious. So many different coffee drinks to choose from.

Got the lavender white mocha and Mayan Mocha iced, great service!
