Blue Box Cafe

Used to be my favorite place to grab lunch, but I can't do the bacon smell in my clothes anymore. I've literally had to leave the shop because my eyes are stinging from the bacon. Great sandwiches, 3 stars for atmosphere.

Horrible sandwiches...Ordered Italian sub and had only 2 slices of cheese , barely any meats . The bread was crumbling as i ate it. Husband ordered the tuna melt, very bland and barely any tuna on sandwich
Think twice before going here

If you love Doctor Who. You will love the blue box. I'm just thankful I was close by. Their food is really good. You get to watch Doctor Who movie. And they have some awesome Doctor Who things you can buy. You have to try to go there just once.

If the food where less pricey I’d be okay with the less than mediocre service you provide. At first it was excellent, now every time Ive gone there’s always something wrong with my order. I don’t know what the point of asking me twice is if it’s going to get done wrong either way. Things I ask for that are extra charge don’t get included. And my last time being there I ordered a sandwich, which usually is a 10 minute wait. And today when there wasn’t many people it was a 20 minute wait. Only to be handed someone else’s sandwich. So I wait some more. There goes half my lunch break. I know mistakes happen but some people like to spend they’re lunch eating and taking a break, not waiting for food.

The owner is so kind and always accommodating. We have small kids, so we’re a bit all over the place, and he/they are always willing to help and very gracious. They’re a small business, so the options are limited, but they’re creative with their offerings. We would go much more often if our kids were older!

I like it. It’s a small business. As a chef I don’t know if I think that’s admirable or insanely reckless and crazy. The Food is pretty good. There’s Doctor stuff too. The only thing that bothered me was that I felt like they sprung a tip request on me that I didn’t see coming. This is not an a la carte restaurant. You don’t have a server. They bring the food out to your table. Nothing else. The tip screen you will see if you pay with a card has three tip suggestions 15%, 20%and 25%. So like I said it’s a small business and I work in restaurants.if you want small businesses around, it’s going to cost you more. I guess I just wish the tip thing was done differently. Cuz then this place would be perfect. Go eat here. Support small business . It’s good

The Dr. Who theme is clever and well done, but the atmosphere is not your typical coffee shop cozy. The have a lot of fun specialty drinks - I chose an iced cinn-turion late, which was very tasty. Prices were a bit more expensive than I would like. Probably won't be a regular customer.

I am writing this review specifically for the barista that made my cappuccino today. She was wearing a tie dye shirt. She was unsure of herself because she couldn't differentiate between my cap and my wife's latte and thought she was doing something wrong. I drink a lot of cappuccinos. It may have been slightly more wet than dry but I have to say in terms of foam consistency and flavor it was one of the best cappuccinos I have ever had. Don't doubt yourself, you did a great job.

This place is always busy. The hand made sandwiches are great. My favorite it the Ruben and tuna. The coffee and tea is also pretty good. Nice little place to have coffee or lunch with a friend or somewhere to go work or do homework.
