Just finished the Caprese sandwich with added bacon was literally...awe inspiringly delicious.

My girlfriend agrees.

I want another one right now.

The coffee I had was AMAZING! So were the sandwiches! My favorite one there is the "Melted Goodness". It's SOOOO good, the cheese tastes amazing, the crunchiness of the bread is amazing. I took that sandwich for lunch and when it was lunch hour, the sandwich tastes just like pizza! The coffee I had was the mocha coffee, and I LOVE IT! If I could rate this cafe from 0 to 10, I would rate it 20 out of 10. If I could recommend this cafe to someone, I would recommend this to EVERYONE!

First visit to the Dr. Who themed Cafe and I was impressed. The decor is awesome but the customer service and the food were great! I gave 5 stars for cleaniness and friendliness and yumminess! I had the veggie sandwich and chili and tried the salted caramel latte with oatmilk ;) They have a variety of sandwiches and an insane coffee/latte menu. You will never be bored and they have healthy options for the drinks if you choose, like oatmilk!! The staff is well trained and can answer any of your questions regarding the menu , really enjoyed it here. Quaint and cozy nice vibe in this place.

Please don't have your employees ask customers for tips just for making their food (that's why we pay for it). Definitely don't ask for tips when you're going openly bad mouth customers for calling and asking for the manager while he's in the hospital, complain about it being busy and having to spend an hour and a half fixing a door, smoke out the restaurant by burning ingredients and not ventilating, and provide slow service and poor food quality. As a fan of Dr. Who, I really wanted to like this place, but I refuse to go any place where the employees incessantly complain and are rude to customers.

It was an interesting place with its Dr. Who theme. I took a few pics in there and as I was taking a pic of the police call box on one of the walls someone asked, "did you look behind the door?". I had to look and take a pic. I added it for your viewing pleasure. It's a small fun place to eat a sandwich or have coffee or tea. Food and coffee I got was good. I'll go again.

What a nice place in Historic downtown Elgin. Very reasonable food prices for everything from sandwiches to salads. The staff is friendly and quick. Modern decor with bright colors. The only negative I could find was there own parking was small but there is a free city parking lot down the street. Enjoy.

Great food and and staff. Nice local place to meet other scifi fans and make new friends. Every time I have ever been, I just ordered whatever I saw someone eating, it's a great way to try new stuff and the all the food here is wonderful. Staff is quick and polite, they work well togeather and it seems like everyone is always having a good time whenever I have stopped in. You can always count on Doctor Who to be playing on the TV, so great conversation starter and memorabilia changes occasionally for purchase. Amazing fan art for anyone who love art, its nice to check out the artwork in the halls here.

I decided to stop in the Blue Box Cafe to grab lunch and treats for my kids and I. It was PACKED in there, and yet the lovely people at the counter weren't even breaking a sweat and still took my order & made our food promptly. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ I was SO grateful for the short wait time despite being so busy b/c my kids were just "done" and ready to go home lol. I ordered them the "Cheesy Goodness" and I got myself a Turkey Cesar Wrap. Those sandwiches are no joke, SO good! 🤤
But let me also tell you about dessert.....I got some "Magic Bars." 💫 I even asked if there was real magic added in them, to which the man at the counter replied, "Yes, of course." 😎 And ya know what? He was right. 😍 They were SO good, my kids inhaled them, and I was lucky to taste a piece! Go grab some of those of you're in the mood for something sweet!🍪 Or grab one of their amazing sandwiches if you want something savory! 🥪 Also, expect great service, no matter how busy they get, and of course, magic in your food! 😁

Got the blue box BLT. It had 2 pieces of bacon for the entire sandwich. Gonna admit I am incredibly disappointed because it's kinda pricey for 2 pieces of bacon. I paid 20 for a coffee, BLT and a cookie just not worth it in my opinion. Their quality was severely lacking today.
