For a Great Coffee experience, you have to check out Koana Coffee in Mountain View! Master Brewer that honestly takes the time and effort to make you the coffee you want. He asks questions to get know your preferences and created the perfect cup by actually mixing different beans to get the drink that I loved! WOW! Who does that? Koana Coffee will!

If I could rate it higher, I would. The quality of the coffee, and the friendliness of the service are second to none. They helped you pick your favorite bean, then grind and prepare in front of you. Both the barista and the owner were cool as hell, too.

I got here completely but mistake, I wanted to drink some coffee so I ended up going to Koana. Brian is of the coolest guys I met on the Big Island, and he made the best coffee I had there. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to coffee and I had a great time having a chat with him. I came back the day after.
Brian thank you so much for having me! If I’ll ever be back again I’ll come visit.

My partner and I were pleasantly surprised at the flavors of these drinks. They do take time to create but well worth the wait. Besides patience is a virtue. I got the special toasted marshmallow spiced mocha with a medium roast. Loved it, the sweet marshmallow blended nicely with spiced chocolate. My partner got the koana recommendation, he describes his drink as perfection, no dairy needed.

Great experience. Friendly staff. Tasty Koana coffee. Friendly people. He made the coffee right in front of us. Conversation was very friendly. Educated us on the process and make some great suggestions based on our palates. Great hair too (🤣😉).

We had a really great experience! Brian took the time to explain the different types of coffee and explained the process of making coffee to us. The wait time is a little long but so worth it since each cup is made using the pour over technique. Will definitely go back next time we are on Big Island!!

A heartwarming coffee shop in Hilo. We had the Hawaiian Geisha from Paradise coffee in both cold and hot (beyond AMAZING), experienced a strong lava chocolate shot, a very dense hojicha milk tea and a Hawaii cacao tea. The owner is very knowledgeable, easygoing and super hospitable.

Perfect cup of coffee! Do not come here for quick to go coffee. The coffee is slow brewed and seat back and enjoy. You will need 30 minutes here to fully enjoy the coffee and cafe atmosphere.

Had a amazing start to the day with some specialty coffee and local chocolate. Service was lovely. Cute scrapbook of the progression of the building over the years. Would highly recommend stopping there for coffee and grabbing delicious mochi donuts next door.

Koana is the best coffee shop on the Big Island! Brian is knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate in his effort to provide customers with the highest quality beans/coffee around. This is my second time here and I will continue to make it a priority every time I'm close to Mountain View.
