The ISO

Overall nice, check in was a bit iffy as there's 1 sign pointing for lobby but when we went in it appeared to only be the concierge desks. It wasn't a traditional hotel check in desk and no signs inside, no greeting from the man at the desk so we ended up walking out and around the building for the entrance and had to go back. But after that it was nice, no AC though which was concerning but was fine in the evenings afterall. Nice breeze but we were on the bottom floor and my husband was too paranoid to leave the door ajar. Rooms are decent, really comfy beds, the only down side to our room was the caulking on the toilet didn't cover the front so it shifted every time you sat and there was something sharp under the carpet near the entry that I stepped on a few times. Didn't try the restaurant, food sounded and looked good but we were on a tighter budget and didn't indulge. Nice pool, quiet location but very close walking to shops and food. For the price it was nice.

Very picturesque, beautiful manicured grounds, clean pool, fire pit, and amazing views of the ocean from all rooms. Customer service is great and the basics are here. However, the rooms are definitely budget... No a/c, and painted block walls, but luckily the breeze from the ocean keeps you cool. As a home base to explore the island, it is more than sufficient. If you're looking for luxury, you might want to spend more elsewhere.

Rooms look cheap. Lots of dust and germs in the room. Make sure you bring cleaning supplies if you want to stay here

Old, needs work, odd check in process. Good enough for a one night airport stay.

I stayed at the ISO for 4 days and it was perfect. The room was clean and the view was spectacular. Sleeping and waking up to the ocean waves was wonderful. We even had the pool to ourselves one of the days.

Amazing Experience
I m going back AGAIN. The Hotel price is affordable with minimal resort fee for $10.00 & no parking fee. A fair variety of Breakfast for free.The staff was ok. I enjoyed hotel Front yard which was beautiful with Ocean view with hammocks and good dining Restaurant. They offered a free Yoga class in the morning where you can enjoy the sunrise .

The experience overall was not terrible but the check in took some time, due to covid, and to not have any housekeeping over three days was kind of ridiculous. Also the rooms all border the common area so if you’re on the ground floor you literally have guests outside your lanai door frequently, and into the night as well. The sunrise ins beautiful however. Also no AC in the rooms.

The Iso is in a beautiful location. The rooms were clean, the staff were nice, and the price was great. There's no AC, but it was cool enough at night (even in July) with the screen door and ceiling fan. The only complaint I have is we put in for late check out so we could shower before going to the airport. After returning from our hike and the beach, we were locked out of our room.

LOVED this resort. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was beautiful and charming. Don't expect a modern resort but it has charm and the real Hawaii about it. Spectacular view of the ocean from our balcony. Resort grounds were beautiful; pool, BBQ and picnic tables, we didn't want to leave.

Unfortunately we were only able to stay the night, because Kauai changed their travel policy. For that night, we had to stay quarantined in our room.
However, we found our room very comfy. Despite not having air-conditioning, the ceiling fan kept the room cool. The staff was accomodating, and the Bull Shed helped get us food and drinks (sense we couldn't leave our room). We wish we could have stayed. If we get a chance to go back, we will definitely be staying here.
