Only stayed here one night but it was charming! Clean, airy room, fabulous ocean view, large grass commons for kids to play, super popular steak restaurant with live music, great fire pit, nice beach access. Saw turtles! Friendly, helpful front desk service- we found ourselves without a corkscrew and they took care of us right away!

never go to this hotel. before the accommodation it was not possible to communicate with the hotel via booking.com or via direct email to the hotel, they do not responded. I paid extra money for a room, that had different name and completly different photos in booking.com, than the room wich we finally got. After the complainting at the front desk of hotel, the staff member was very unpleasant and cheeky and wanted to offer me an even worse room as a replacement. When I said that I will complaining, she said I could, but she not care. Next, nobody help to us with our luggage to 3rd floor.. Our room should be new renovated according to the description, which was not true. It was in very poor condition for example the furniture was poorly folded or the bathroom especially the shower were in poor condition. On the last day of our stay, we were supposed to check out by 11:00, but our both entrance cards to the room stopped working early in the morning..

Pros
The Extraordinary view. This is one of the nice and cheaper hotel with unbeatable view. I selected ocean front view room , although room had two double beds we choosed it since it was very near to the sea. Almost all rooms have ocean view. The room was clean and updated. Everything looked pretty new from Tv/bed/bathroom. Hotel is situated pretty close to historic town of Kappa. Lots of restaurant choices and there is a steak house on the site. I was really satisfied with the price I payed and things I got. Thanks ISO :)
Cons
There is no AC (although it did not bother me due to cold breeze from beach and fan was enough for me).
Shower was a bit slow.
I would have loved to get onsite laundry.

My daughter and I loved our stay. The view was incredible and room was nice. Grab n go breakfast was perfect to start day. Great location. Leave door n window open for that breeze. Friendly staff. Some other reviews that I read complained about no AC when you're facing the ocean and you have that fan and the doors to leave open you don't need AC at least we didn't, (plus I brought a small portable fan to put next to me on my nightstand, cause I sleep with 2 fans on always 😃 ) Also some complained about having issues because there's no housekeeping again they were more than accommodating you left your trash out front of your room they'd pick it up if you needed anything extra like sheets towels or toiletries they would get them to you, we had no issue. Yes there's no elevator it's three stories not very difficult and worth the view! Definitely recommend. Safeway was in walking distance and because I have a refrigerator in the room that worked out great there's a shave ice place also in that shopping center and Kenji Burger was right on the corner from the hotel which has excellent food!

We arrived at 9:30 PM after a long day of travel. I went into the hotel office to check in. There were signs plastered all over the lobby "mask required", more than the usual number of signs you'd expect in a business office and they appeared custom made by the hotel. They asked me for a credit card and ID and COVID VACCINATION CARD! It was March 15, 2022 and every state in the country had scrapped their mask rules and covid protocols except Hawaii, and even there In two weeks of travel I had never been asked for my vaccination card by any business. Further I was told by the desk clerk that she would need to inspect every member of my family in person! I had to go back out to the car, wake up the kids who were asleep in the back, mask everyone up, search in the dark for our vaccine cards and bring the whole family in for a personal inspection by a desk clerk! Are you kidding me? Who does this hotel think they are?
They went on to present us with not one, but two page check in form. Assessed us a "resort fee" on top of what we had already paid when we booked, and gave us a complimentary "gift": soap, tissues and TWO bottles of hand sanitizer each! Way over the top! Maybe this was required by the state? No. I researched it and this level of covid hysteria, and overbearing zealous intrusion into our personal health and imposition on our time and privacy was all their idea. There is no mandate either state or local.
The hotel has no parking anywhere near the rooms, no elevator or porters, so you have to drag your luggage from one central parking lot over to and up as many as three flights of stairs. And the security guard hassled us when we tried to unload in the unload zone closest to our wing of the hotel.
Other highlights of this hotel (which was built 55 years ago, 1967) include;
Brown dingy concrete walls like you might expect to see in a prison, ugly and aged carpet, nonfunctional clock, leaky toilet that periodically ran all night, paper thin walls.
Most of the access gates to the pool area are permanently locked with corroding chains. And the final and fitting finale; the door key failed on our last day. This is a two star hotel all the way, including the way they treat their guests.

Great location, lots of bang for your buck. Check around and you can usually find this place for less than $150 a night but they do add some $29 resort fee if you book online. Even still, it’s on the beach with a pool, not crowded, great location with everything in walking distance. Not enough to drop it to 4. Choose this place over the hostel if you’re backpacking.

Clean renovated room with a great view and air conditioning. Yoga every morning was great and the filtered water bottle filling was perfect to start our day full of hikes.

A vintage property with very good refurbishments and upkeep. The ceiling fan was perfect for the east side of the island's cooler temperatures and the sound of the waves just perfect. The resort fee is acceptable if you take the morning yoga class or borrow a bike. I'll stay again.

I was disappointed with this hotel. The hotel is old and missing a lot to be even a 3 star hotel.
The toilet ran after being flushed and you had to wiggle the handle to get it to stop.
There was a TV but I would not connect to any streaming services because they block internet connection to the TV. I was told that ot was to "encourage guest to get out of the room and explore the island"
That is not your place, I paid fornthe room and if I want to spend my wholetrip there itnis my right. It rained the whole 3 days we were there. So there was nothing to do out doors.
No room service. We had to walk down the stairs in the rain and go to the front desk to request anything we needed as there was also no phone in the room to call down and when we would call from our cell phones no one would answer.
Water pressure in in the shower and Tub was very week. I was going to take a bath but it was taking so long to fill the tub that the water was not staying hot.
This hotel is way over priced for the condition the rooms are in and what it offers.
It would be acceptable at half the price.

Loved this hotel. Right near the water, the quad area has views of the ocean. There is a pool and a fire pit to hang out at. The rooms on the bottom floor have a sliding door that access the patio. They do have amenities such as complimentary breakfast and yoga classes in the morning.
