Clean, super view, friendly staff, near business food complex, Safeway, Starbucks, pool, nice Restaurant on side, free bike rental, free quick breakfast starter, etc
Value is in for travelers, not so for homestay or service

The hotel is old and very dated. It served its purpose but they get 1 star for not even trying to make the bed comfortable. The pillows are hard as rocks. The bedsheet needs to be thrown away because it has so many hard balls of thread coming off of it. It’s not comfortable at all. The room smelled like mildew when I first got here.

Great spot. Easy in and out. Nice enough. Easy grab breakfast, wifi, bikes, yoga, parking, all included at no cost.

I absolutely love this hotel. It's right on the ocean and there are many dining options within walking distance as it's located in the heart of kapaa town. Free bikes are available at the front desk ! Pool was awesome and refreshing after a long day of hiking the napai coast . Staff are friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel as your gateway to all of the awesomeness that Kuai island has to offer.

No aloha spirit at this place. Rooms are clean The breakfast is grab and go and it sucks .. 6th trip to Hawaii and this place killed my Hawaii vibe.. my wife needs to stop trying to save $ especially when we can afford to stay at nicer places. Will not return.

Beautiful property and a great location.
The welcoming was not as pleasant, maybe the receptionist had a rough day, that happens! One thing I would change in the room is to switch around the beds so you are facing the ocean when you wake up. I also wish we had one king or queen size bed instead of 2 double beds.
    They offer yoga every morning.

If there was 0, I would give them that. The reason why I gave that is because their customer service is terrible. We stayed there for 5 days and it said breakfast is included but all you had to take was a muffin, milk, cereals and apple and some candies. One morning, we went take some and we found out their muffins were rotten and smelled disgusting. I took the muffins to the front desk and told her this might make people sick and it will ruin their vacation, all she had to say was sorry.
In addition to that, on our last day, there was a change to our flight and we had to fly at 10:00 PM and our check out was 11:00 AM. I asked the lady at the front desk if we can just keep our two bags their until we go eat something and come back, she said they don’t have a storage for baggage’s and can’t keep any bag in their lobby. Is this how you treat your customer who stayed 6 nights and paid you $2,100 ?
We had to carry our bags around with us!
    Very disrespectful and terrible service!
I would not never recommend this to anyone!

We really liked this place. It had a great location, the staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were comfortable with excellent views. A couple of things: the main road out the front of the hotel gets very busy and traffic is the worst i have seen at all hours of the day and night. Definitely leave an hour early if traveling toward the airport. Our shower also didn't have great pressure but didn't bother us too much. Great mexican place across the road.

Everything about this hotel is it's proximity to the ocean. It seems that almost any room has an ocean view - if not directly facing, from a side balcony. As others have mentioned there is a small table & two chairs on the balcony which allow you to sit outside but aren't very comfortable. The property however is very dated - I would NEVER call it a boutique hotel as indicated on the website.

When you reserve you can't select bed type (listed as double or king). We arrived late after delayed travel - I didn't even think to indicate that a king was preferred (as we're a couple). Ended up with two doubles and just slept Lucy & Ricky style. Just seems like you should be able to select bed type with your reservation. I take responsibility for not asking to change it but was frankly too tired on arrival and we only stayed three nights.

This has the potential to be a great hotel if they worked it's mid century style design and did some necessary rehab. But currently the building just feels like a sad, old hotel that needs serious renovation. As far as our room, maybe we ended up with a weird one? It was on the second floor & was a rather strange room with beams interrupting the corners of the room (so you couldn't even walk out one of the sliding doors b/c the beam was in the way). There appeared to be somewhat newish carpeting but looks like there was a left over border of short pile orange carpet around the edges which was bizarre (& smelled musty). The louver window frame in the bathroom is literally eroding around the edges & corners (and does face the walkway). One of our sliding doors wouldn't lock (which is really basic upkeep). There are fire pits on the property, but one of the nights we wished to use them, they weren't even lit (and the weather would have allowed it). Overall we selected this room based on other reviews and the site images. The images must be from their best or most rehabbed room? One positive, the room does have an A/C unit, but you can get by with screen doors & an overhead fan and hear the ocean.

Something I've noticed lately - at this hotel and a few others. There seems to be a very fine line between a two and three star hotel. While this is listed as a three, I don't think filtered water in the lobby, a free water bottle and having a yoga class in the morning should categorize it as such - I would consider it more of a two 1/2 given the overall condition of the hotel & our room (maybe others are in better shape?). I say this comparatively to the four star hotel we stayed at on another part of the island - difference was beyond vast.

We loved our stay at The ISO! Cozy and clean rooms right by the beach! Beautiful outdoor commons space, there is no air conditioning but the ceiling fan and sliding doors offer great fresh air. Close to lots of great restaurants, a Safeway across the street, and about a 12 minute drive from the airport! Customer service was also wonderful ❤️
