Black Dog Cafe

Neat place. Limited selection of baked goods. Come here for a quick bite and then take a walk around the lake. The atmosphere is decent. There is a strange “secret” door from the place attached to it that felt a bit bizarre. The bathroom was also funky and tight. The outdoor eating area is pretty and there is a nice flower garden.

Best atmosphere for a coffee shop in town. Been coming here since 2006. Owner and staff alike are extremely friendly and the outdoor seating is perfect for any weather with their recently added deck covering. ALSO- the cinnamon rolls available on the weekends. Shout out separately to three sons bakery for those. Wow. Pretty sure it’s one of the few places around to find em.

An amazing cafe tucked away in a corner at Lake Ella. Extremely cheap pricing, an amazing view and super friendly staff make this place a must visit! Had ordered the large hot chocolate and soup of the day (Turkey with root veggies). The hot chocolate was not overwhelmingly sweet, which can easily eat up your ceremony for it. The soup tasted perfect! Light, healthy, with lots of umami. Only thing I was a bit disappointed with, was the lack of food options.

so cute!! all of the food was great, even the plain bagel with cream cheese! loved the drinks; i got a dirty chai. best one i’ve had so far. the staff was sweet and the environment was great. lovely place, will be coming by again

Beautiful quiet spot. Woman owned. Relaxed vibe with good music. I sat next to the 🐰. The chai was delicious. The vegan hang pie melts in your mouth.

Wonderful coffee shop right by towering oak trees and a beautiful lake. Plenty of parking. Enjoyed lattes and a bagel melt. Gracious service.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly workers, and good food!! Good place to grab a snack and hang out. Will be returning!

The Black Dog Cafe has a bit of a romantic setting, but in a cozy way. And I love how it's situated near the water. This little cafe is what I would call a treasure of a find. First they are quite quick, well organized and efficient, so if you see a line, don't fret, it moves quickly! Now the important stuff - the food! Yes absolutely amazing & delicious! Cinnamon rolls, banana bread, croissants, bagels, and many other breakfast and sweet items, as well as a variety of coffee, single origin, and other drinks. And there are even coffee mugs, t-shirts and other little gifts you can buy. An amazing place with a friendly, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit and then a beautiful walk around the little lake area. Enjoy! 🦆 🦆

I really love this place✨ it can be Tallahassee’s best and peaceful cafe. It has outside sitting area… Bagel melt is delicious 👌

Quirky little local joint, yummy iced coffee, cute merch, food options looked good .. seating indoor and out on the beautiful lake. Don't sit down wind if the smoking section though!
