Black Dog Cafe

Black Dog Cafe is awesome with wonderful coffee and baked goods! Always enjoyed this coffee shop years back living in Tallahassee! Looking forward to visiting again next time I am traveling to Florida :)! It is also next to a beautiful lake with a nice walking loop with trees. Thanks so much!

Whenever I visit FSU, I stop by Black Dog Cafe for a seasonal coffee drink and pastry. Never disappoints, Then I like to take a walk around Lake Ella.

Such a cute place!! Awesome back deck overlooking Lake Ella! Friendly staff and delicious drinks! We loved it!

Contrary to cafe's name, no dog are allowed inside. To make matters more confusing, there appear to be no signs to that effect.

Their breakfast selection is better than any other coffee shop in town. The croissants make the place smell amazing in the morning and their drink specials are creative and yummy. This morning I met a friend and her young daughter; we had the ham & Swiss croissant and then shared a chocolate croissant. She had a black coffee and I had the London Fog (my favorite). Everything was absolutely delicious. The owner came by and brought a small coloring book and some crayons for our four-year-old; when have you ever seen that little touch at a coffee shop? Only at a local staple like Black Dog. The day was nice so we took a stroll around Lake Ella before leaving. Black Dog is a long-time Tallahassee gem. ☕️

Hot out-of-the-oven ham and cheese croissant?? Yes, please. With a London fog and a nice walk around the lake with the ducks. Cool crowd. Felt cool drinking coffee here

So many amazing drink options! Nice people always have a friendly face!

Friendly staff. Never been there before and am out of state so I just said just make me whatever you think is good( I normally don't do this because it's annnoying). She asked a few questions and made very good drink. It was different and delicious. Ask for the "pumpkin head" !

Coffee is coffee until you come to the Black Dog! It's truly a whole other level!! Great spot!
