Great little local coffee shop. It’s pretty active inside and outside of the coffee shop. A great walking path around a pond with ducks. Coffee was great and the kids loved the popsicles.

It has become one of my favorite places to go when I have an hour to myself. The porch and deck are fabulous. Enjoy watching the duck. Enjoy the coffees and teas. I'm often able to get a chapter or two of latest novel read while sipping on a special drink.

Listen up people: you've got to visit this coffee shop. Amazing atmosphere (plus outdoor seating, right along the water), the coffee is delicious (great specials too!), and plenty of room for studying (free wifi). If you're into aesthetics, it's got quite the charming, yet down-to-earth feel. Favorite place to grab a cup of joe in Tallahassee!

GREAT coffeehouse with different flavors and blends. Atmosphere is inviting and outdoor seating on Lake Ella is always comforting. Delicious coffee drinks and snacks without breaking the bank!

This place is a must stop if you're passing through! It's always filled with locals studying and enjoying some delicious, fresh coffee. The vegan and gluten free selection of baked goods is astounding! The vegan carrot cake is the best carrot cake I've had outside of my mom's home made cake. If you have reservations on vegan or gluten free treats, let Black Dog Cafe show you how delightful they can be!

Best coffee, and mint tea in Tallahassee!! The vibe is super refreshing, and the workers are extremely nice :) will be becoming a regular!

The only place to go for coffee! This is my favorite coffee shop in town, I have never had a negative experience at Black Dog. The baristas are super kind and personable, the coffee is consistently fantastic, and the community is unbeatable. I will often grab coffee and go for a walk at Lake Ella and always meet someone kind on my stroll to strike up conversation with. Unbeatable atmosphere, I always feel safe walking around here. My only complaint is that the wifi can be kind of spotty on occasion.

Absolutely LOVE coming here. Located in such an amazing area with wildlife (just the ducks, geese, the occasional squirrel, and dogs too) and great atmosphere. The interior is aesthetically pleasing, cozy, and inviting. I'd have to say they don't have much on their menu, but what they DO have is delicious! I am personally a big fan of their pesto provolone tomato bagel melt (I recommend w/ the asiago bagel) and their coffee is tasty, and offer vegan options as well! I love to study here and by far is my favorite place to go when I need to get work done. It does get busy, but the staff do an amazing job of managing customers and their orders. Overall, THE BEST cafe I've been to here in Tallahassee. I recommend to ANYONE who loves coffee, cozy spaces, wildlife, and or just needs a quick pick-me-up snack and/or drink.
