I can't say enough good things about Midtown Reader. Everyone on staff is extremely friendly and always very helpful. The owners have done a fantastic job at not only creating a great bookstore, but also a beautiful, comfortable space to hang out in (including the cafe/coffee shop upstairs)! Visiting here is always a unique experience. If your a reader, or even if your not, I highly recommend popping in here and taking a look around!

I love coming here because they allow dogs. They have events happening on their website and they have book clubs listed inside. The atmosphere is quiet and coffee is upstairs (also dog friendly).
Parking: on the side of the building between them and waterworks. You can access it off thomasville road.

The staff was super helpful and friendly! I enjoyed getting lost in their staff suggestions and delish snacks and coffee! My favorite spot in Tallahassee 📚

This was just okay. I was from out of town and didn't really know the area well. Was looking for a casual coffee shop. This play screams college freshman. Perfect for them but not my style. Also not a lot of seating at all

Jodi, if you see this, my friend has your copy of Annihilation.
I purchased a gift card for my friend so he could purchase a signed book. Over the course of four months, my friend repeatedly followed up on the status of his order. It's understandable that these things take time and signings depend on the author's availability and scheduling. That is fine and neither he nor I have any issue with that. We do have issues with poor communication and the receipt of someone else's signed copy.
In at least one message, he was told his copy had been signed. After a while, he reached out for an update and was told his copy had not been signed yet. In subsequent e-mails, this error was not acknowledged by those he was in contact with. Instead, he was told signings depend on the availability of the author. Again, after being told his copy had been signed.
When the book finally shipped and was delivered, he received someone else's copy. The personalized inscription was not what was requested and was addressed to someone else. I was excited for my friend to receive his personalized copy and it's not even his. I'm disappointed and frustrated with the poor communication and multiple mistakes he's dealt with.

Fantabulous local bookstore. It's small and yet it is so thoughtfully stocked that I always find something that I didn't know I needed!! Great product selection and knowledgeable booksellers. Also their book events are amazing!

Lovely small, local bookstore. Cute little kids corner. Coffee shop upstairs with real homemade pies.

A great place to spend quality time with your kids. Good bookstores are hard to find and this one is a keeper. Each family member got a great book, we played games, met a awesome dog named
Charlie ( yes, dog friendly) and ate cupcakes. A perfect afternoon.
