Very rarely you come across a business that is operated with employees who have physical disabilities and top of that make it look like everything is just completely normal.

I was pleasantly shocked and surprised to know that the baristas who work here were hearing, deaf and hard of hearing. I swear I couldn’t even believe that they were, while interacting.

I got myself a flat regular coffee and got it in no time. The coffee was made to perfection and had good aroma too.

If you are at the Union Market, please show some love to these lovely folks and enjoy a good coffee or tea, here.

And whoever owns Peregrine, big salute to you!

Quick and easy to order. My latte took under 5 minutes to make and my croissant was delicious.

Looked up online to find the best coffee/cafe in Washington DC and this place came up with a 4.6 rating. Uber-ed here from hotel en route to Union Station. Long line but I couldn’t smell any coffee aroma which was normally a sign of coffee being so so. Anyway was very excited for the latte but not only they didn’t capture my oat milk request, I couldn’t taste the coffee. It was like some third flush filtered down espresso. Should have gone to Blue Bottle but thought when in Rome. Anyway, if you are serious coffee drinker, don’t bother coming here.

It’s not the coffee that’s the problem for me… It’s good for the most part. My problem is they posted ours on Google never match the hours for the store no matter when I come up here in the evening they’re always closed. Right here on Google it says they close at 8 PM and it’s 506. They have a sign up that they are closed. They are cleaning up and serving the coffee.

Have I had a better latte than the one I had here? If so, I can’t remember it. It was perfect. Friendly cashier, great vibe to this entire place.

By far the best espresso I have had in NoMa, probably in DC. I stop here every time I am at Union Market in the morning and frequently buy their local beans as gifts for out-of-towners.

Coffee station in Union Market. I had the Marta Vasquez hot drip, a little sour for my taste but not bad. The latte my husband had was good, he said citrusy and nutty.

My husband and I are self-proclaimed coffee snobs, and it takes a lot to impress us - this was EASILY one of the best cappuccinos I’ve had from a coffee shop. After some research, turns out the owners also have their own roastery. There are lots of places to get a cup of coffee in the Union Market area, and we tried all of them. I promise you will not regret choosing Peregrine!

Peregrine has by far some of the best coffee in DC! The closest in quality to what you would find in Europe. The union market staff are always friendly, great prices for the quality. I highly suggest if you are in the area of any Peregrine locations and in need of a delicious cup of coffee!

I was annoying and they were still nice to me. Good decaf!
