This is an amazing property. I strongly recommend visiting the Broadmoor and if possible stay a night or two. Be sure to plan on attending the Sunday Brunch. The entire staff was pleasant and representatives of a 5 Star resort.
Space Symposium 2023 was excellent here! We couldn't stay here but everything was beautiful and the food was excellent even when serving large groups. Went back for seconds on the crepes!
It deserves its reputation, which is very good. Pleasant attentive staff, excellent rooms, incredible views, good food and plenty of options. Very kid friendly which is surprising given the standard of the hotel but they pull it off. I would order off the menu for breakfast instead of the buffet. They're both good, especially the omlette bar but my favorite was the Eggs Benedict.
Forced service fees at every turn dulls the experience. Don’t get me wrong, the Broadmoor is a beautiful hotel. But if you have never been the advertising is a bit misleading. It’s quite “small” in size. They advertise 5000 acres which led me to think I’d have walking trails and gardens to discover around the grounds. Not so. Basically one 1/4 mile loop around a pond-like “lake”. Not sure where the other 4400 acres are. Maybe the golf course but non-golfers are not allowed to walk to pathways. There is one hot tub, one pool, you pay daily “resort” fees even though off season none of the amenities they say you’re paying for are available. I spent $340 ($280+ forced 22% gratuity) on a “body” wrap at the spa which literally only wrapped my arms and legs from the mid-quad down. Not very helpful for an anti-aging body wrap. A body wrap should wrap the whole body like at other spas. Complete waste of money. Every drink/glass of wine is $17-22 again plus a 22% forced gratuity. Even if you had to stand and wait in line 15 mins for said drink. Where is the service in that? Oh - and buy a pre-packaged anything in the cafe and they’ll still add a 10% service charge on that. I had a blouse, leggings and an undershirt sent to laundry. I marked it as an undershirt . They returned it and changed my cheap old pilly tshirt to a “knit” shirt - changing the price from $4 to $9. I mean, come on. It’s clearly not a polo. I stayed at the Ritz Carlton St Louis on the way out and my experience was above that of the Broadmoor. I think for those who don’t travel much The Broadmoor may seem to be an exquisite experience - but for those who are used to luxury travel it simply feels like you’re nickel and dimed for everything, sub-par mass produced dining, limited amenities for the size of the resort and no ability to choose your gratuity for those team members who truly do go above and beyond. There are far better hotels and resorts both in the US and abroad. If you want to see a well oiled machine, go to the Broadmoor. If you want a truly Luxury personal experience skip it and go elsewhere
My wife and I love this hotel. We stay here about twice a year. There are so many great things to say about this hotel. However, our recent visit had several disappointments. We arranged for three families including our own to visit the hotel for the same weekend. We booked their holiday show in advance with the hotel concierge so that we could sit together. We called a few weeks prior to our visit to make sure this was set up correctly. When we arrived to the show, the staff had no idea what we were talking about and put us at different tables. When we asked them to please fix things, the staff brushed us off and told us there was nothing they could do. Someone at the check in area named Patty Green was empathetic and tried to help, but wasn’t able to make changes. We ended up asking a couple at our table if they would switch to another table and we would buy them drinks. It all worked out, but not with help from the Broadmoor. AFTER we fixed our own seating issues, someone named Michaela Mansfield ended up coming over and apologizing for the screw up. Michaela was nice and empathetic. She also smoothed things over with a bottle of wine. The hotel also lost our dinner reservation for the next night. Thankfully, they were able to seat us anyway. The service at this 5 star hotel was not 5 stars this visit. That being said, I will be back. I love the property too much not to.
Poor communication especially for special events … .Reservations manager has a weird attitude . Beautiful hotel otherwise. It would be 5 stars if our plans werent ruined by them… with so many people we spoke to and so many different things we were told . Telling us the price would be 610.20 to 5,610.20 then trying to make it better by RAISING the price again by offering a more expensive option .. if that makes sense .
Magnificent hotel, ideal location for a private get a way. Conference rooms all designed with ease and water is complimentary. Concierge is a most helpful way to organize your business and travel with in the area.
The Broadmoor lived up to its stellar reputation, resort-wise. It was beautiful, clean, the staff were ALL so polite and quick and thorough. The room was beautiful and clean. We loved the bathroom especially, with its lighting and tub and shower set-up. The views are so wonderful too. The only part that we were disappointed and surprised about was the quality of the food that we had at the resort. We ate at the Italian restaurant on the premises and it was NOT good at all. The atmosphere was nice and warm, as was the staff, but the food was NOT GOOD. We had the pizza and not only was it very flavorless (it's hard to make pizza bad), but the crust almost seemed like it was not cooked all the way and it was very floppy, with all the ingredients on top falling off with each bite. The toppings lacked flavor too. And the salad, caesar, was the worst salad we've every had. We could literally get a salad 50 times better at Chikfila, for instance! All it was flavorless chopped romaine lettuce with a few slivers of cheese. And the dressing was the worst. We also ordered breakfast to our room, and the bacon was sub-par, not even as good as we cook it at home from the local grocery store. The fruit plate, while looking pretty, had very little flavor either, as it they did not even test the fruit to make sure it was not too ripe. The omelet was just ok. The toast was good though, better than average bread was used. And we ordered chocolate milk and rather than just give us that, they took white milk and attempted to mix chocolate flavoring in it, but put too little and did not mix it, so it was basically white milk with some chocolate at the bottom.
For such a stellar resort, we expected the food options to be much better. We almost went to the steakhouse on premises, but it looked old and uninviting, and the PRICES were over the top! We would have eaten a PRIME meal at Ruth's Chris, for instance, for the same price, maybe even less, than they were charging there, and had PRIME beef, which was not offered at this Broadmoor steakhouse.
So we certainly recommend this wonderful resort for all it has to offer, except the food. Hopefully they can make some big improvements in that area.
Very nice place, I was there for the opening of the Colorado golf hall fame museum. Many different restaurants. The food is very good. The spa was terrific.

This is a very regal hotel, very fancy. You can feel like royalty. Wonderful grounds and clean, amazing service and comfortable.
