I love everything about this place: the location, the food, the people, the drinks, the vibe, EVERYTHING.

We stopped by in the morning to grab a few snacks and try their coffee and Yerba mate and ended up hanging around for a while and also getting dessert. The Yerba mate is super delish and this is definitely going to be my go to whenever I come here. Empanadas were tasty and this was my first time trying a mandioca (beef) and it was so good! Like I thought I loved empandas before but then I tried the mandioca and wowzers...taste buds had their mind blown. Their desserts are great and I’m probably just gonna start going down the list and trying a different one each visit.

Overall it’s in a great location just a few blocks from the Rec trail and there’s seating inside and also outside (great for people that want to bring doggies). With cool music and an awesome staff this place became my favorite cafe in Monterey/PG/Carmel.

I've never really had yerba mate before- it was incredible like a delicious warm hug in a cup with a hint of sweetness. Don't be deterred by their description of smoky yerba mate- that's the process, it doesn't taste smoky at all. Cute Paraguayan cafe, lovely helpful staff, amazing yerba mate.

Great Paragüayan Beef empanadas and lovely desserts. I liked this Hard to find Brazilian Drink 👌

We shared a huge pulled pork sandwich with Cole slaw on Brioche. It was very good & included 4 large French fried potato wedges, a container with bread & butter pickles, & picked onions. Their cookies are a real treat, too.

Fruit tart and banana bread are amazing. Very fresh fruit, coffees are brewed to perfection. Friendliest staff I have seen in restaurant in a long time. Will be back very soon

Smoked brisket empanada changed the game. Great cafe, delicious empanadas, awesome cafe, friendly service and lovely decor! Highly recommended as a lunch spot for your visit to the aquarium.

I'm actually currently in the café studying, but the service is so nice and kind and helpful! The yerba mate and coffees are awesome and they are great at helping you decide what you want. A welcoming evironment and a very cute and beautiful back patio area. All in all I'll definitely become a regular here. Thank you!!

Such an overlooked gem of a place!! The yerba mate tea is amazing (both iced and warm), they have a homemade Guatemalan chocolate mocha syrup - I had a almond milk cappuccino with it - to die for. I loved the Mandioca and the Chipa. The space is beautiful and the staff was super nice - so welcoming. I did not try the pastry - it looked amazing though! If I lived near Pacific Grove I would get a treat every day :)

Superb cakes, an excellent cappuccino and a great outdoor space in the back. Oh yeah, and the empanadas are excellent too! Try the pulled pork one.
