Cafe Guarani

The empanadas were delicious and definitely worth taking a break from the Monterey aquarium and walk here for lunch. Also enjoyed the chimichurri. The girl working the register was not only rude but very unhelpful. Didn't seem to be a theme with the other workers

I love the empanadas here! Their smoked brisket baked empanada is one of my favorite foods here in Monterey. Their tea and dessert selection is great too. It's so nice to have this business serving South American stables in the Monterey Bay.

All the empanadas were delicious!! I got the chicken, it was amazing, and my friends got other flavors, all great. Coffee is also great, I got an iced latte with dulce de Leche. Customer service was wonderful, and respectful of covid and distancing!

This is one of my new favorite places. Not only is the location, and shop, pretty and friendly, the food is also delicious! I went there for the empanadas, in but I was surprised to see lots of other pastries and cakes too. I tried every type of empanada that I could, and I can't wait to go back.

The empanadas are excellent! I suggest splitting 3 between 2 people. I recommend the pulled pork and the beef mandioca. The guava tart is the perfect ending to your meal. The vanilla chai is one of the best I've ever had.

We very much enjoyed a variety of empanadas and pastries at Cafe Guarani at lunchtime. We sat in the back courtyard which was pleasant and quiet. Among the pastries, the chocolate eclair was by far our favorite, and among the empanadas we especially liked the vegan-filled one.

Lovely restaurant. We loved our ham egg and cheese empanada, cafe latte, chocolate ganache cake, sugar cookies. Yum!

Nice little spot with a good assortment of pastries/empanadas and tasty coffee. I didn't try their beer/wine selection but it was well curated and had some local offerings. Worth a visit.

Fantastic little cafe! They have a variety of well-done pastries and delicious empanadas and one of the best cups of coffee in the area.

Fantastic espresso drinks and magical cakes. Or go savory with an empanada filled with home-smoked meats and a glass of malbec or gourd of maté. This place is a gem.
