Jantz Cafe & Bakery

The food was really good so fresh and the service was great :)

I enjoy and love to eat at Jantz Cafe in Merced have been a regular for well over three years now. Every Saturday I come for breakfast and am never disappointed. Truly ran by a great manager and lovely staff.

I met here for a girlfriend bday celebration.
Friendly and attentive staff. Great food! I wish I had taken pictures now. The strawberry salad was delicious!

Amazing pies & food, fast & friendly service !

Went in to look for a gluten free dessert as a surprise for a co-worker and they had so many to choose from! Pies, cookies, and cakes! I love this place! Definitely going back again!

I just keep experiencing this feeling that I didn't belong there. (One time, I even put on a dress to see if they would treat me better. Same treatment, like I shouldn't be there and they preferred not to serve me.)

I just know I'll be there often as my husband and I just bought our first house here and I love the gluten free baked goods.

I've come to expect this feeling whenever I'm there. Not really a big deal I guess, the baked goods are amazing and I guess thats what really what matters. But please try and work on costumer service:)

Great food, great service. I love their clam chowder or chilli fridays.

What a treat! We grabbed a full cake from the bakery case to go and it was homemade, fresh and delicious. 5/5 would go here again!

I enjoyed the food that I've had catered from here but unfortunately today, I had their chicken salad sandwich and I had a pretty bad allergic reaction. I was not aware that the chicken salad had cashews in it and I'm highly allergic to tree nuts. It was very tasty but I wish the catering box had a label or warning that alerted me that there was tree nuts in it, as it could've been much worse.

The banana nut muffin was probably one of the best I've ever had! And the breakfast burrito was also very good. My only criticism was that the burrito could have come out a little faster for a to go order, but it was a busy morning at the cafe and all the tables were full, so I understand that the kitchen might have been a bit backed up. I've had other food on separate occasions - a turkey wrap with a side of macaroni salad and pie - and everything always tastes fresh and homemade. The servers and cashiers are always very friendly and attentive. Jantz remains my favorite cafe in town; I just wish it was in a bigger building with more staff so I could eat there more often and not have to worry about lines or wait times.
