On this visit to LA, I decided to do some quintessentially Hollywood things, so lunch at Chateau Marmont was high on the list. The courtyard is beautiful with lots of greenery so the tables feel discreetly separated. I had a chopped salad with grilled chicken (when in LA...), which was really tasty. The only aspect that wasn’t so too notch was the service. It took 20 minutes to find a wine list! Fantastic [discreet] people watching. Great place for a long lunch.

Remarkable establishment on Sunset Blvd. I enjoyed running into Randy Jackson from American Idol, Soccer player Tim Howard, among other bigwig Hollywood personalities. Staff is really pleasant. The patio reminds me of a Roman setting and is an ideal location for drinking champagne.

Great place to take a date or to have a business lunch meeting. Lunch for two with drinks and dessert will run you near or over $100. Worth it in my opinion!

Gorgeous place, classical and contemporary, it's ok to go and have some brunch over there and experience the beautiful hotel.
The restaurant has a lot of options in drinks and food, we got some sweet bread and coffee as it was already noon but too early for our lunch, the staff was super friendly and they made us feel like we were celebrities

Such an iconic institution. A must for every west coast trip. Brunch is inimitable- and seriously fun.

The Chateau Marmont is about to be a private place, but this iconic palace IS Hollywood.
    Gorgeous rooms and delish food.
    Can't beat this celebrity stay.

The Tuna Tartare here is first class. Last thing you might expect, considering they don't market it as a specialty of theirs or anything, but it's the truth

We had lunch here on our last day in Los Angeles. The food was amazing and the place was stunning. Even had a celeb encounter with Travis barker as we were leaving. (We didn’t approach him as he was with his family and clearly trying to blend in)
Would definitely go here again when I’m back in LA :)

First time there. Went for drinks / snacks, it is a beautiful place and wonderful people / service.

You get what you pay for. Located on Sunset Blvd., this 1920's themed hotel/restaurant/historic experience boasts exceptional cuisine at equally exceptional prices. A side salad or truffle fries cost $13, and the signature Chateau garlic pasta dish I got cost upwards of $26. That said, the truffle fries were the crispiest, most delectable truffle-flavored bites I've ever laid tounge on. The garlic pasta almost made me fall out of my chair. Be prepared to spend...but it is an culinary experience unsurpassed. MUST stop by if looking for something supremely delicious!!
