Chateau Marmont

Beautiful hotel. It gives you all the feels as soon as you walk into the hotel. Hollywood royalty, famous authors and anyone and everyone who matters have stayed here.

The Chateau Marmont is a fancy high end hotel and restaurant. Located in the hills of Hollywood, it is very peaceful and looks as if it was from the 40s.

The Valet is good, but the pricing is a mess. The phone system tells you it's free, the valet tells you it's 6 dollars, and most likely it's ether 12 or 38 dollars depending on how long you stay. It would be nice if everyone was on the same page.

The restaurant is very nice. The staff is very charming and helpful. They are present but not intrusive and was by far the best part of the experience.

The food is solid. The calamari and cheese plate are delicious and the drinks are flavorful although light on alcohol.

The main courses are average. Which is disappointing for a 25 dollar burger or a 30 dollar veggie ravioli. I think they try to keep things generic as to not startle people with spices but a little flavor should have gone a long way.

The desserts are fairly tasty. They have good mixtures of flavor and are light as to not over when you.

Over all it was a nice experience but I don't think I can justify 600 dollars for food that is just OK. The reason most people go is to see a star. So maybe that is the bigger draw.

A little serious for my taste but great experience overall

Exclusive old Hollywood magic....Marilyn used to stay here....Gucci named a collection after this hotel. A fantasy....

Beautiful place. Sat outdoors, which was quite lovely. However our starter was brought out at the same time as the entree. We sent it back and after that point the server's attitude was a bit snarky. Overall awesome experience and yes I would return!.

I loved the ambiance and the food, but our server was not very attentive. We waited more than 15 minutes just to order. The food came out in a timely manner, but we were basically ignored. I had the breakfast sandwich which was very yummy.

First things first: this is an expensive restaurant, but you're paying for the name, reputation, history, and ambiance rather than a gourmet meal. Nothing in our multi-course brunch was noteworthy. Not the coffee, not the bloody Mary's, not the eggs Benedict, not the breakfast burritos. It wasn't bad, but anywhere else the meal would have been 2/3 the price, at most. Now, having said that, it is worth paying for the name, reputation, history, and ambiance. The hotel is gorgeous. It feels like a preserved piece of old Hollywood.

Logistically, do yourself a favor, make reservations to avoid a long wait and get a ride there to avoid the sparse parking and expensive valet fees.

Where do I start? Loved the design, little details in the decor made it aesthethically pleasing. Their bolognese was the best I have ever had. The freshest ingredients, staff was great. Great experience

If you are In the Arts, Fashion or Film industry it’s always the best place to stay. I love the old fashion decor which make you feel at home. The staff can be charming to very moody but it’s part of the game. There is not two rooms alike. They are super pet friendly. Your stay will be always improbable and I unforgettable !

We visited the restaurant at Chateau Marmont for my mom's birthday dinner. We had heard a lot about the place and wanted to check it out. The ambience was great but the food and service left us wanting. We really expected more for the price and the popularity - the servers lacked enthusiasm and knowledge, service was quick to the point of almost rushing, food was mediocre at best and we weren't even offered a birthday dessert or welcome. Ultimately we left the restaurant after paying the bill and grabbed tiramisu at a nearby Italian restaurant which was the highlight of the night.
