We've been coming to Farley's since Gary opened. The gelato is AMAZING. Gary makes it from scratch from real ingredients.
Gary can be a bit polarizing, but even he will admit he's mellowed with age. I've always enjoyed visiting with him.
There's not many small businesses that last more than a decade. Farley's is a gem that I think is worth a visit, or even a second chance.

I am so glad I found this establishment. The gelato is delicious and made from scratch.
The owner is elderly and he is very mono tone. The owner is a straightforward and to the point guy which I really like but I don't think it would be pleasing to some especially if you're not used to people who are just blunt and don't sugarcoat stuff. Sometimes people take bluntness for rudeness but it's not like that at all. He was not rude at all and he was polite.
The place was warm but I am not going to ding a star for it because as I ate my gelato I could feel the cooldown and it felt so good. I felt so refreshed. I took my little ones and they loved it. So much better than ice cream.
Read some comments about him being racist but he was not racist to me nor my family at all. He's just straightforward. Just an elderly man, serious, polite and with a business. We will definately be coming back. 🤗 I found my hang out spot!

For everyone talking about the owner's demeanor, don't go to NYC. Once you go in to the establishment with the understanding that this man may be from the older-generation Italian East Coast USA way of thinking , generalizing here and not certain, this is all okay. There are no active negative acts that are taken against anyone by the staff, and patron expectations and interpretations need to be tempered that not everyone is the same.
For real feedback now: it's more like Starbucks than I would have liked, but I appreciate the diversity and inclusion of some East Coast vibes in the environment here in Lancaster.
Very clean and lots of effort on presentation. Compressors on the fridges are loud, but the smooth Jazz is usually enough to drown it out.
I'll be returning for the gelato, with all my flavored drinks half sweet.

Very racist owner. The first time we tried purchasing from this place he completely ignored my 10 year old. Today we were about to go in and he said “place is closed” when it still had the open sign on and he clearly had gelato left. The business hours say it’s open until 9pm so I called as soon as I got home and he answered so obviously it was still open. It’s so sad to see that someone his age still has that mentality.

Just a horrible human being. I don't know who hurt him but it's just better not to deal with people like the owner. The place was empty, and he seemed like he was bothered to have a costumer. I walked out immediately could not stand his tone of voice.

I’ve been eating here for years. This is probably the very best or 2nd best gelato I’ve ever had. Maybe one place in Italy was arguably better, but that one was a different style so maybe not a fair comparison. I don’t know why Lancaster happens to have such a gelato gem, but it does, so enjoy it while it’s here.
People seem to downvote the owner. Just because he doesn’t follow the standard fake politeness strategy designed to make people spend more it’s bad or wrong. I’d take real over some fake forced smile everyday.

Best Ice Cream in the AV. I'm an old white guy, non-politically aligned, not a racist so I'm really not on anybody's team. Here are my objective views. If you read the negative posts you see the same complaints. It's not that the Italian Ice is BAD, nope, no problem with the product. Just a bunch of FEELINGS. "The mean man doesn't want my kids running loose in his store!" "The mean man doesn't want to give me free samples of EVERY flavor!" "The mean man expects me to PAY for the product and not whine about the cost" So yeah, I don't have any of those issues, I don't care, he doesn't hurt my tender feelings. In America ice cream just like American baked goods are all just sugar bomb garbage products. All fake garbage ingredients and sugar focused on giving you diabetes. I spent 7 years living in Europe and this Ice Cream in America is BAD. Farley's is GOOD. It's made the traditional European way and its a bit more expensive because it has REAL ingredients and its worth it. If you can't afford Farley's then go to Dairy Queen for your diabetes and take those annoying kids with you. Farley's is GREAT. If you like George Carlin, you'll like that mean old man too. He should put up a sign, "No kids or pets or sensitive people allowed."

Nice little cafe located in the shopping complex off of Avenue K and 20th Street West. The cafe is always neat and organized every time that I've visited. The owner, Gary, is super nice. The gelato that they serve is delicious and their coffee drinks are as well

I haven’t been here in a while, but the place is always clean, and the Gelato is excellent. And yes, the owner isn’t the most customer friendly person out there, but oh well…

very raciest owner, white American supremacy at its finest. reminds me that Lancaster is still a republican city
uses day old products at full price and still decides to discriminate. genuine gelato is freshly made, the term artisan should be removed.
worst costumer service ive had in antelope valley, my home.
