Everyone there is so helpful and make one of the best cortados in the Bay. I’m a regular and every cortado I have there is consistent and that’s very hard to find.

Classical coffee taste, natural, freshly made, really nice place for coffee lovers. Don't expect sweet milkshakes here.
There is some street parking around and nice patio to drink you small cup of coffee with delicious cookie.
Baristas are really nice and caring.

Coffee here are absolutely amazing! Each cup of coffee are crafted with love, the staff here really know their stuff about the coffee. If you brew coffee at home, this is a great place to pick up some quality beans at fair price. Don’t know what bean to try? Ask the staff, they will give you some useful information on which one to pick.

Outside of coffee, the atmosphere here are also great, bring your book or work here, you’ll have a great time.

Great coffee with nice outdoor & indoor seating options

Bad service. They are selling drip coffee from this morning and it's 430pm. We needed 4 cups but they refused to make a fresh batch. Barista dude was rude about the whole thing.

We were in the Bay Area and had an opportunity to visit this fairly small coffee shop. It is situated in a somewhat historic part of the community of Niles. Lots of other stores around to check out. The coffee shop was well staffed with a couple of baristas. The coffee was decent and the prices were reasonable. One shortcoming might be that there really aren't that many seats available. But if you get a seat, your stay should be pretty enjoyable. We were there on a Sunday morning. Directly next door is a bar. We watched as about 40 different motorcycle riders showed up at various times to go drinking in the bar. Not sure they are a gang, but certainly a club. That entertainment was, as they say, 'worth the price of admission.'

Devout makes my favorite espresso in the entire East Bay! For real though, I got bored and extra during the pandemic, and made a tournament bracket where I compared espresso from 75 Bay Area shops, 22 of which were in the East Bay. Devout was the best, similar to Red Bay in Oakland as a reference point but with a slightly more tasty finish. I go out of my way to come here.

Devout has come a really long way since they first got here. Granted, they have always had the most important thing - great coffee.

Devout has been and is one of the best cups for miles, especially for coffee enthusiasts. Over time they have even added some espresso and hot chocolate options and a nice pastry box.

Service is always good, and the atmosphere is very good now too. The construction has been significantly done for a while now and the end result is quite nice.

Excellent espresso from Guatemala. Medium body, good mouth-feel, very tasty. Mugs are great.

Try Devout coffee once and you’ll never step your foot into Starbucks again. Devout coffee is the best in the bay area! This guys also roast their own beans in house and sometimes when I come for my morning coffee I can smell it a block away 😂 Great pastries too, almond croissant is the best in the menu. Also, shout out to the baristas who work there! Very friendly and professional, many of them have been working there for years and I can tell they are very dedicated to their job. Thanks guys!
