Humboldt Soup Company

Okay so since I decided to eat here I eat here at least three times a week now. No joke! Every single soup I have had has been COMPLETELY WONDERFUL. They have gluten free options, vegan options, vegetarian options and they have different soups everyday. Unfortunately from my experiences, Humboldt County has really bad customer service. Clearly the people who work there are not from here because you literally feel so welcome and they are just so nice. When I ask for more bread 🍞 it's NOT okay that will be 2.50 extra. It's okay here you go, would you like try any of our soups? I literally go just go on and on. I'm so happy I found this place!

My cousin and I went there for lunch last week, for the first time. I ordered the clam chowder, it was like eating the flour mixture for paper machete paste. Lesson learned, will never be going there again.

I decided to give the breakfast a try as I heard it was new on the radio, so this is strictly a breakfast review. I ordered the sausage biscuit, herbed potatoes and a mocha.
I will start with the good things:
The mocha was a good temperature.
The biscuit itself was very good, it appears to almost be wheat.
The cheese was good and sharp.
The potatoes were well cooked.

The not so good:
The mocha doesn't have much or any mocha flavor.
The sandwich was impossible to eat by hand, you pretty much had to deconstruct it with a fork (biscuit too thick, probably would also be better with a fried egg then poached).
The herbs on the potatoes need to be evenly dispersed, possibly by chopping them up much smaller (especially Rosemary).
All items were bland in flavor, and while I completely understand not adding salt, it is all missing something.

I know this is a new menu for the establishment, so I hope that this review doesn't come off mean. I think that they use good ingredients and I like to support local businesses. And I know this is nitpicking but please spell check your menu, I saw multiple misspellings just looking at the breakfast menu.

First time here. Had meatloaf sandwich, creamy mac n cheese, corned beef sandwich, sweet potato chips, pasta salad, all delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more. Menu is drive thru menu, lots to choose from! (Look at menu on photos instead of here so you can expand it.)

Oddly enough, the soup is the worst part of this place. Bacon tomato grilled cheese is good

Food was delicious. But they were pretty busy and hectic. Placed a larger office order and half of the order came back incorrect. Great place. Wonderful people, awesome food but definitely check your order(:

Way too expensive!!! Paid almost $5 for a very small cup of plain broth, no meat or veggies. Will not ever go again! Huge pothole in drive-thru too

Great experience here! I have tons of food allergies and Angela made it so easy to order. She answered all of my questions and took my order correctly. They make all of their soups from scratch along with their bread and sodas. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich and a cup of beef barley soup. Delicious! This is my 3rd good experience here and I will definitely tell my friends.

I would've rated 5 except there was a long wait. Otherwise the food was great, fresh ingredients, and friendly drive thru customer service. Similar price point to Panera but better quality.

I had a warm clam chowder soup with avocado toast. Delicious!
