Becoming one of my favorite casual places to go get some good food. I have to admit, the gyro is my favorite. I get a cup of soup with it and leave all blissed out. Also the menu changes so always something new to try! Healthy but you can also indulge with savory hungry guy offerings like the steak wrap and top it off with some sweets at the end! Staff is helpful and you can sample the soup before you buy. Also has a drive through and you can call in orders for a fast lunch break.

Good soup, good wraps, good homemade raspberry soda. I might start stopping here more just for the soda! Wrap and sandwich were tasty, we had the corned beef sandwich, chicken pesto wrap, and chicken soup. All were great, and we bought a second soda after tasting it, definitely worth a visit.

Had the Chicken Curry Bowl today..... it was pretty terrible. Super bland, only ingredients appear to be chicken/curry/rice. 100% will not go back. If you want a good chicken curry - it's worth the trip to Japhys in Arcata instead. Japhys is also cheaper in addition to being a larger portion and wayyyyyyyy better tasting.

I understand that poor reviews can be damaging to your company, but not as damaging as bad tasting food, poor customer service and an unwillingness to find insight in criticism in order to foster improvement.
This was literally the worst curry I've ever had IMHO. My girlfriend tried it and agreed.
I immediately called Humboldt Soup Company, told them my thoughts and asked them if it was supposed to taste that way.
You did not offer me a replacement meal- as you said you would in your response.
I have read through many of your responses to dissatisfied customers and there is a common theme of denial as opposed to curiosity. You even went so far as to threaten a reviewer to "watch their back".
Good luck with your business and I hope you can do better in the future.

The chicken sausage biscuit was ok. I enjoyed the clam chowder a lot. Overall awesome that there's a soup drive thru place. Where I live, there's no such thing.

I ordered beef stroganoff, the last time I had beef stroganoff was from a freeze dried packed in a survival kit, that honestly tasted better than this. I would prefer school lunches over this meal; the cashier said it was a big serving and I should order it if I'm hungry, the dish is smaller than the bowls we have at home. I tasted the clam chowder that my grandma ordered and it tastes like potato soup that was made with powdered milk. The lemon curd was grainy and unbareably sweet, I couldn't finish it; and the topping tasted like they mixed together whipped cream, egg whites, sour cream, cream cheese, and cupcake icing, we all scooped it off. We ordered 9 things and it came up to around $50, my individual dish, beef stroganoff, was $11.99, and it tasted terrible. They also abuse pepper way too much. My mom ordered the gyro, it was two meats that was processed together into this slab-like thing that resembled bacon, it tasted like pure pepper, it did not taste at all like lamb. There was too much vinegar, my mom says in her own words "a sad excuse for a gyro." I say for the beef stroganoff "an insult to Russia." There was a bullet hole in the window facing the street, made me feel uncomfortable; mom says the stroganoff looks like noodles with cat food. I was scrolling through the reviews and noticed that most of the pictures looked better than the food we got, I think we got a bad meal because we're hispanic.

2 for 2 so far. Yesterday I had the falafel and it was amazing! Today a roast beef sandwich and veggie soup. Soooo good!! This will be a regular place for me to eat. And the people working here are awesome too! They are friendly and helpful. You can try samples of the soup. Great place to have lunch!

Great and yummy place! My family and I stopped here right before heading south and everything was perfect. Despite COVID-19, this little soup and sandwich restaurant is open for take-out. The workers were very nice and pleasant to talk to, the order was quick, and the food was deliciously good and warm.

Love, love, love this place! They source their ingredients locally and organically whenever possible and make all their soups from scratch daily. I recommend the Turkey Bacon Avo and the Steak Wrap as well as the Clam Chowder!
