Best place in Davis to study. The atmosphere and ambience are designed just for that. I love the service and a variety of refreshing and unique beverages they offer.

Wonderful cafe in the heart of Davis to get some coffee, chit chat with the servers, and get some work done. I got a latte and it tasted divine, it was just what I needed. The service was quick, and we were pleased overall to the extent that we will be coming back to Temple to get coffee again. :)

This is a great coffee house to start the day or to take the laptop to work. There is always a line here. We love the coffee here and the lively atmosphere. The pastries are good as well. Street parking.

My favorite coffee shop and remote work place in Davis. A bit expensive compared to Starbucks or Philz but totally worth it! Incredible and aromatic selection of beans and custom prepared. Great atmosphere of remote work and super helpful staff.

Best coffee in Davis, cute shop, great staff. Nice seating indoor and outdoor.

Amazing coffee!! The espresso drinks are smooth and complex, so I switched from lattes to cappuccinos and then to cortados (progressively less milk) so that I could taste the nuances of different beans. They have converted me to lighter roasted coffees. Temple ranks with the very best I've tried on the Left Coast and best in Davis imho. I don't usually order pour overs or cold brew coffee or baked goods, so I can't rate those. I did order the Green Dragon tea a few times and it was terrific. The employees are almost always cheerful, friendly, able to describe the differences of the large variety of beans, and experts at coffee brewing. There are no chairs/couches, and the stools are yoga pose uncomfortable, but I still recommend drinking it there if you can- it seems to taste better out of glass than paper cups. They will let you bring your own mug/tumbler. Lots of outdoor seating in the newly converted G street without cars. There is wi-fi but counters are narrow if you need to spread out. There might be 10-20 people in line on weekends and thus a 5-10 minute wait. Parking is manageable if you drive. When in Sac, I like Temple's S Street location even better than this one (for ambience) and Puskin's bakery around the corner is a treasure. If you like Starbucks, Temple is a totally different style and sets a higher standard.

Not much to say here except "fantastic".
The ambiance is excellent, the coffee is very well made and this is one of I think only two places in my life that have offered me a glass of water when I ordered a cappuccino. Their mugs seem bulky at first but they actually handle really well, to boot.

Ordered a Flat White, made with the single origin Burundi espresso. It was truly incredible. A real taste of New Zealand here in America. Great coffee with very friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere.

This place is a true coffee lovers dream, where it's all about coffee and tasteful atmosphere but the coffee is actually good! The atmosphere here is a comfortably modern style with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. There's free Wi-Fi that works both inside and outside as well! I hope you enjoy this place as much as I did.

I heard about this place from a former employee that started his own successful coffeehouse in Chico. He totally undersold this place. Honestly if i had the gas money I would drive the two hours everyday to get this Burundi Flat White. Absolutely delicious and a truly great overall experience here at Temple

A beautiful and fancy way to drink coffee. The environment is so peaceful, clean and looks like everything is gonna taste better there. I love the glass containers that they have to make the coffee, look like the vintage way to prepare coffee but the have very modern equipment. They have a great and international variety of teas. And the best thing is that they offer you to drink a coffee or tea in a real ceramic mug or cup that has a extra pluss point, at least for me. Coffee and tea tastes so much better in a real cup and it is cleaner for the environment.

Best Cappuccino Ever? (5/5 green stars also)
First off, the seating is all on high stools, so you may not want to bring your granny here. Seating aside (you’ll have to engage your core if you want to sit there for long) I like the clean feel to the place, and the warmth added by the small lamps dotted around. Nice staff – and the barista made one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had. They clearly make good coffee and also have a lot of beans for sale, including a limited amount of Panama Geisha. They also stock a lot of vegan pastries. I tried two of them – a morning glory donut and morning glory raspberry muffin. Both were good.

I’m also giving Temple Coffee Roasters 5/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons:

• They have a close relationship with coffee farmers and pay above fair trade prices for green coffee.
• They provide info on each of their farmer-suppliers. More details on shade cover please!
• Their regular milk is Humboldt organic.
• Employees get health, vision, dental, and retirement benefits.
• They use 100% renewable energy.
• They generate zero landfill waste at their cafes (materials are ceramic, compostable or recyclable).
• They are involved in local community projects (such as a Sacramento bike park and a Goodwill job placement program).
• Supports improvement of conditions for farmers (e.g., donation to International Women’s Coffee Alliance).
• They have started a program called Return to Origin (RTO) that looks at the percentage of coffee bean retail prices that reach the farmers and others in the supply chain. The average RTO number in their first report was 32%.
