Great smooth coffee! I had the latte with oat milk and an americano. Came here early in the morning. Absolutely lovely to hangout in the morning before the crowd comes. The barista was super friendly and sweet. Wonderful way to start the morning!

Drinks were good, and staff was friendly. For those that like to take pictures to post on Google maps or yelp or any other platform be aware that, per one of the staff members, you may not take any photos of any of their employees and post anywhere without getting written permission from corporate.

The establishment is really nice and the prices are actually pretty reasonable considering they include oatmilk by default. That being said, the espresso isn't very flavorful. Still highly recommended.

Awesome coffee and tea, friendly staff and great location to relax and chat with a friend. My favorite is the Maple Bruelé you can’t go wrong with it if you have sweet tooth.

Great coffee and wonderful service!
First, I love their coffee. Sometimes I’m in the mood for a fancy coffee and all of their seasonal ones are delish (the lavender latte is my favorite!). Other times I just want a basic latte and their coffee is strong but not bitter.
Second, my kids love Pachamama. This is our go-to “date” place for the kids. They get a hot chocolate and the baristas are so sweet and patient with them. My son loves axolotls and they made him one on his hot chocolate, which made his day.
Slightly pricier than a chain coffee brand but not by much and the taste is so much better it’s worth it.

Nostalgic and cathartic! Those words sound extreme for a humble coffee shop like Pachamama Davis but I'm not kidding. I used to go to the original Pachamama Davis during my undergrad years when it was sharing the building with the art gallery. I was introduced to great coffee there and studied there all the time. When Pachamama decided not to renew the lease at the art gallery, I was quite devastated. Though Temple Coffee on G street was established at the time, I thought the coffee at Pachamama to be superior. I graduated, moved a couple times, and years later I saw on the Pachamama Instagram page that they will be coming back to Davis!
To come back here after all this time was quite meaningful to me. I got a Guatemala pour over (like the good ol' days) and it really DID NOT DISAPPOINT. All the memories of my undergrad years flooded back. Their pour overs (I'm not much of an espresso guy) is probably some of the best pour overs I've ever had. And their bean quality is seriously top-notch. I cannot recommend this place enough for their quality of coffee!
The interior is quite, as you can see from the pictures, and has some decent seating to study or read. Wish I could have stayed here longer but nevertheless loved the experience!

Davis students - come here to study. Seriously. Enjoy a crazy amount of natural sunlight and outlets! I know it’s at the edge of downtown but the coffee is incredible and something about the plants surrounding you makes long work sessions much more bearable.

Great coffee prepared by caring baristas that take the time to make your order just the way you'd like it. Seating is limited, but very spacious, and with thoughtful decorations throughout that make this a great place to meet up with a small group of friends

After four times recently buying some good coffee I made a special trip today to get my first refill. I was informed for the first time that a refill must be the same day as a regular purchase. I was unhappy that I hadn’t previously been informed of that policy and I left. There was nothing on the website I could see to give feedback - send a message to management about it.

I like Pachamama a lot. The chairs are comfortable and it's well lit. The music volume is good and I can read or talk to friends. It's cheerful here and the social justice initiatives are on point.
I've had about three cappuccinos here, a cortado, and three pour-overs at the recommendation of the staff, who are always friendly, sincere, and professional. Why only 4 stars? The coffee is good but not great, not as flavorful as Temple only a block away. It tastes a bit simple and flat- on par with Mishka's, Philz, or Peet's. I don't know if it's in the beans, roasting, storage, grinding, or brewing, but with a few adjustments it could be great.
