Very good breakfast with a healthy portion for your dollars. Nice staff and fast friendly service. And they open early for the morning people!

As soon as we walked in, one of the servers stared at us rudely (that should have been a sign to turn around and leave)
After getting our food, our server never came to check on us. When I finally saw her, I asked if I could get a red menudo to go, she told me to hold on. Apparently she was too busy to pay attention to us two new patrons, as it seemed they only cater to their regulars.
Needless to say I didn’t get my menudo to go, we didn’t even get our check to pay for our food, the cashier had to look for the server to get it.
It’s unfortunate because we had heard such great things about this place, but it was very disappointing.

Corn beef & hash undercooked and swarmed with onions. Not my gals taste at all. (Corned hash is her thing so I trust her taste buds). Service terrible, tables around had great interaction with there's. Great pancake apple blueberry or banana pecan screaming so damn good only positive. I can say.

Good food and good service. Everything made fresh; yum!

Nice ,it's your traditional ma and pa cafe not fancy but good food clean,you can tell my the friendly customers they is a good place. Its in a corner of the world not where the fancy diners are. Reminds you of home.

First of all: Try the peach pancakes!! They are SOOOOO UNBELIEVABLE. They are encrusted with caramelized sugar on one crispy side while still being fluffy— I don’t even bother with the butter or syrup. They are THAT good. So good they deserve a special shout-out! Laverna’s pancakes are HUGE, too.
Their menu is diverse but covers all of the basics you’d expect, too.
Laverna’s is quick, very affordable and their food is exactly what every diner and breakfast/lunch cafe should hope to serve.
Plus, their staff is friendly and will make you feel at home right away. What lovely waitresses and hostesses!

One more thing: I was so pleasantly surprised by their bathroom! It’s an entire suite with a sitting area with beautiful furnishings and it’s immaculate and well-appointed. Beautiful!

The best inexpensive cafe breakfast by far in Tucson. The staff are so friendly and the portions are so big! Last visit I ordered an omelet/ biscuit and gravy and It was absolutely wonderful and both were full of flavor. Plus the coffee is nice and undiluted unlike any other cheap cafe I know. Loved the experience!

Always amazing service amazing atmosphere can't beat it it's really good place to eat get good breakfast get good lunch awesome place and they're waiters are amazing good people. It'd be like if my aunt asked me if I needed any more food very very friendly very professional felt homie. A + + + + and I'm serious this place is amazing do not pass this up if you're in Tucson or if you're a local I found out about this and I'm already 33 years old I think I was about 30 years old when I found out so don't hold out this place is totally worth it and it's worth the money you'll drop trust me I left full as hell and I'm at home and it's been an hour and a half and I'm still full LOL

Biscuits burned beyond belief and the "cooks" try to hide it in gravy. Owner was very rude with own employees and she just mad dogs everybody. This place was 1000x better before this lady took over and ruined what was once a good breakfast nook.

Food is wonderful, prices reasonable. Different flavored coffees offered.
