Excellent service and menu. Very large portions for a responsible price. Friendly service and home-cooked food. Biscuits and gravy is delicious!

Good restaurant to have breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros and one of their pancakes. The eggs were good but that’s it. I saw other dishes which looked better. I wish I had tried the machaca, that looked great. In any case I totally recommend their pancakes. OMG they are great! I had the one with apple and it did not disappoint me. I definitely recommend you to have one of them, just be careful because they are big!
Great place to have breakfast, totally recommended!

5 stars all the way. I first found out about this place by accident playing around with google maps. i was like, what? a coffee shop in an industrial hood. i checked further and from the reviews and pics it looked pretty decent. Fast forward to now. I finally tried it and it was great. its so homey and non-pretentious. its a breath of fresh air. i was surprised to see so many customers but there was no wait. unlike the other chain restaurants that make you wait. our server was great and friendly. the food is reasonably priced and the bathrooms were clean. you can view the kithcen from the dining room which i always like. just in case you know. this place is big too. it has a backroom and a side room and also they postmates. They were well staffed up too. I highly recommend this place and i will def keep coming back. The pancakes looks absolute huge.... the lady said one will feed two people . There is plenty of parking. some in the front and some on the side and more in the back. they only have the front entrance tho. to my suprise this place has been here for over thirty years!!!!!

Had a very big breakfast here, on initial visit. Their omelette's are 4 eggs, and the sides are very large portioned. All was fresh, prepared well and the service was good.

I believe the menudo was $7.50! What a good price!

It came with bread and butter as well, although the butter tasted like popcorn movie theater butter. Soo I would've wished they didn't put butter on it, I guess.

The menudo was overall pretty delicious!
I wish the server would've asked if we wanted to refill our drinks because I was thirsty the whole time....

Laverna’s is a great little hole in the wall in Tucson. My cousin Lalo, his lady, and his kids suggested the place. Tucked away in an older office area, this not so tiny star is a maze of rooms and spaces. There’s even a living room setup for a man cave dining experience. Cool, right? Careful though, service can get backed up when the place fills so go early or later for breakfast. Anyway, I ordered the ham and cheese with hash-browns. I also asked for a side of biscuits and gravy. Yeah, for a skinny guy, I had a big appetite. The omelette was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were crispy and the biscuits were fresh and flaky. I’ll add that the prices were reasonable. Good place.

Let me tell you EVERYTHING hit the spot... Country potatoes were nice and crunchy and tasty not overly seasoned. Bacon super crispy. I ordered the Apple pecan pancake and I did a happy dance because it was so delicious... Had to take lots of leftovers home this place is definitely a must. Looking forward to our next visit there.

My god get the pancakes. I had the apple pecan pancakes and nearly cried they were so good! The top was carmelized sugar and cinnamon, the pecans were candied, the apples were perfectly soft but not soggy… and the single pancake was larger than a plate and as deep as three regular pancakes… you can tell the batter is home made in the best way… we meant to get pie before we left because they also have home made pie, but the pancake (and two eggs/4sausage links for $14.99) were so filling I ended up taking half a pancake with me and having to skip pie.
