Little mom-and-pop breakfast and coffee joint. good food, quick service and reasonably well priced!

Food was inexpensive, large portions,plenty of choices, Was suggested by a friend to try the chicken fried steak...loved it!

Comfort food is the least you can describe this place as. Great service and portions you’ll have troubles finishing.

Small unassuming Cafe w/huge delicious portions. Great service and food was awesome. Had breakfast but will be back for lunch (homemade soup).

Service this morning at Laverna’s Coffee Shop was below substandard. The waitress’ were rude and if I had not sought out Monica’s attention for a simple refill of my drink, I would have been sitting at my table with a cold plate of French Fries. After refilling my drink, Monica never returned to area where I was seated. However, after dropping off my food order to the table, she also dropped off the ticket.

Another waitress instructed me to take my ticket to the front counter for payment. What struck my attention, is the fact that while giving me instructions, she was offering to take the payment at the table for another customer. When I brought this to her attention, her response was “well, get it ready and I”ll take up for you. It’s up to you.” The waitress then turned her back to me.

The only reason why Laverna’s is receiving a one star rating for todays service is because that is the lowest available rating on this review page. I did speak to the owner of Laverna’s who seemed to be unaware of her employee’s behavior. Not sure if Monica was having a challenging day and maybe this was just an isolated incident. I specifically asked the owner if it was common practice for them to treat some customers different from others. The response was no. However, based on today’s performance, I am not sure if that is entirely true.

In this current environment were the increase cost of goods and products are typically passed on to customers, the general expectation at the very least is to be treated with courtesy

Good food, good value, friendly service in this small mom and pop shop.
Place was PACKED on a Saturday morning and it took forever to get coffee, order taken, and to get our food. I would say from sitting down to eating was probably 45 minutes.
Overall I would recommend because of the food quality, value, and service, but be prepared to wait because this place is popular.

Great food and great portions. Like a truck stop diner this place has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. On a busy day though can feel cramped.

This place is DELICIOUS, but be warned. The portions are, frankly, ludicrous. You’ll get enough food for 3 or 4 people. But hey, at least you’ll have leftovers!

Gave a 1 because there is not a 0 option. Party of 3. Worst breakfast meal we have ever had. Sweet potato pancake was burnt and tasted like flour and cinnamon. Refried bean were spoiled and the egg rancheros was Pico salsa on an egg set on a bed of shredded lettuce. Polish sausage was good but under cooked. The coffee was great.
