Delicious food, quick service, the best pancakes we've ever had!! Will be returning next time we're in Tucson.

The breakfast was actually good. I would have liked the bacon and hash browns crisper, but that is preference. Their specialty is giant, plate sized pancakes. Our table split the Apple Pecan one. Almost a cross between pancake and coffee cake.

We were in midtown about lunchtime and hungry. I remembered Laverna's was right around the corner, very convenient in an area short on good homestyle food.
The seating is cozy, with several small areas of seats in side rooms, which makes it nice to sit and talk.
I had Swiss grilled cheese sandwich with green chilies and Diane had a patty melt. She ordered the onion rings for a dollar more while this old man got cheap and went with the included fries, crispy. Much to my dismay, the onion rings turned out to be really good.
My beautiful bride was so sweet that she shared her rings. Both sandwiches were hot and crispy, mine very thick with cheese and chilies. Diane said hers was good, but not the best. However, she was impressed with the rings too.
Laverna's has an excellent breakfast menu too, which we may get a chance to try someday soon. The food is good, plentiful and not very expensive. Hope you stop in sometime soon.

Great food in a casual environment. Large portions. Huevos Rancheros.

The red menduo is outstanding with a flavorful broth.
The photo is the banana pecan pancake. It is larger than the plate. My husband and I share because it is too much for 1. Very tasty and lots of both banana and pecans.

Eggs-cellent breakfast! 🥓🍳 Met one of my friends there, & she heard about it from a coworker. She was right; really good! Loved the bacon, and our waitress was good, and really nice.
You won't find this place just driving by; it's tucked away behind the South side of Broadway off a side street. I'll definitely go there again. 😁

Ordered a takeout order of Denver omelette, biscuits and gravy, and a cinnamon roll. The omelette was very tasty, but the rest was awful. The gravy had the weirdest flavor, and when we picked some meat out and studied it closer we were almost positive it's Vienna sausage??? The cinnamon roll was bland and somehow dry as hell underneath the globs of sweetened condensed milk. Would not recommend!

Whoa! This Apple pecan pancake is the real deal! Fluffy with a little crisp and enough to feed the whole dang family!

So much food! We came in after a jog and its such a cute, casual spot. We were immediately greeted by various employees, everyone is so sweet and kind. This is a homey place with food as yummy as can be. We'd seen several reviews rave about their Huge Hotcakes so of course we had to try one and we were not disappointed 🥞🧡Will definitely be back:)

Great pancakes and coffee. Their specialty pancakes are amazing, I tried the banana pecan. The biscuits and gravy was good. The mushroom omelette was good. The coffee was great. The portions were big. The service was great. The parking lot is small, but we found a spot no problem. I will be back.
