I took my mom here for the first time and it was such an experience for her, lol. Our waitress was so friendly & kind! The food was amazing as well & we couldn’t leave without a sticky pecan bun!

Stopped by on a Monday at 4:30. The place was mostly empty. After being seated there was a little bit of a wait until we could order. I ordered the BBQ burger. The wife got fish and chips and the kiddo had a grilled cheese.
After about 15 minutes, the server brought my wife a beverage. I never received mine even after asking for it a second time. Another 40 minutes later another employee brought us the food. My wife commented "I hope the food is worth the wait" after the 35 minute mark.
We wouldn't see our "server" again until he brought the check- which didn't show up until I spoke to the hostess asking how I could pay so we could leave.
We were seated next to the servers' station with condiments, glasses, tableware etc. I understand sometimes someone has to be seated there, but I didn't appreciate being bumped into every 5 minutes with someone sliding their butt along my shoulders no apology offered.
I asked for ketchup and never received it, but luckily we were right next to the condiments and I was able to grab my own. The food itself was pretty good. The fries were crisp outside and tender inside, perfectly cooked. My wife said it wasn't jump for joy, but she'd eat it again. My BBQ burger was well prepared but did not have BBQ sauce.
Although the food was quite good (7.5 - 8/10), I will not be back. The experience was bad, especially for a weekday afternoon meal.

Oh, don't you just love when you go to a place where you simply can't order wrong? Wait to be seated, order and pay with server. Every dish we ordered was a five-star example of its kind. And the sweets! We were told to come for the pavlova, which was amazing, but everything else was just great. Pecan sticky bun, pavlova, and peanut butter pie were addictive. The chocolate mousse a fine treat for its kind but definitely not the show horse compared to the others. The halibut tacos, french dip, and jalapeno burger were top, the chicken part of the the chicken fried chicken was excellent and the noodles pleasant, while the sauce was very strongly soaked with the wine component, so less smoothly cohesive as a dish. The rice bowl had a great flavor but some of the rice seemed dried out and so it chewed super hard among the veggies. That delicious peanut sauce ended up making the dish too spicy to share with the kids, but before mixing it together, they got some of the delicious sweet potato out of it. And the restaurant itself is open and beautiful, with a good humor and friendly-familiar vibe. Like, they serve water in whatever type glass, not all matching, and that was a fun effect. Just a cool mix of make yourself at home and have an amazing meal. Their baby chairs were in good repair and the kid's menu had quite a variety. I personally don't drink but one in my group got a bloody Mary they enjoyed. I'm guessing that menu would stand up well in its competition too. We're visiting and so won't be back often (hence why we tried so much!) but when we do come back, we'll make a stop at South! Keep this one in business. Five plates, one polenta fries (oh so good!), one drink, four desserts, plus generous tip came to $195.

At South as I’m writing this review. We got here upon opening. Knowing that we wanted a booth, we asked for a booth and we’re willing to wait. The lady sat us in a table with people coughing right behind us. We asked the waitress for a booth a 2nd time. She said sorry, nothing is available. Totally ignored my request. This was important to us.
Flat out ignored our needs. Been one of my go to restaurant over the years taking clients and family.
Not sure if I’m ever going back.

Amazing friendly staff. Yummy food.
Shared the prime rib with my wife and they split it and brought us two plates. That's was awesome service for us. Come early!

Omgg. This place is my new favorite. I’ve been here 3 times. The first was for brunch where I tried the Chorizo Burrito w/ extra cheese and salsa verde. It was sooo delicious. The second time was the Rice Bowl w/ Salmon. The veggies were so colorful with beautiful presentation. The third time was the Butter Burger w/ egg and fries & let me tell you, best burger I’ve had in awhile. I also tried Bonzo’s Revenge Punch. It’s nice and fruity with a good kick. The juices they use are freshly squeezed along with fresh garnishments. You won’t regret trying this place.

One of my favorite spots for events, dates, or even just a delicious bite. Fresh and local ingredients make every dish pop, and everything on the menu is worth trying. A monthly fresh sheet allows the chefs to explore new dishes and the bartenders to shine with fun, often seasonal cocktails. Great service too!

I ordered the calamari and fried chicken sandwich, both of which were perfectly prepared and delicious! The portion sizes are generous for a "suedo fancy" establishment. The carrot cake was fantastic paired with my gin and tonic beverage. My server was fantastic and attentive, refilling my water prior to me reaching the bottom of the cup. 5 stars and definitely worth a trip!
