Love the Bakingtist! And so happy to see her open the cafe at last!
I was able to attend a preview before its opening, and the place is beautiful! Conveniently located downtown, and offering bread, their famous huge cookies, and pastries both sweet and savory. They also have espresso drinks and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Definitely a must if you love carbs!

Warm environment with very friendly staff! You can tell that the staff really enjoy what they do by the way you’re treated. That make such a huge difference and made our experience more enjoyable. Now on to the food. That croissant was maybe the best I’ve ever had. It was so buttery and flaky with crisp cheese topping. The cookie was my favorite part of this day. So rich and filled with chocolate! I had to flag down one of the bakingtist to ask what magic was put in it. I was so upset that I didn’t bring any home!

This bakery is incredible. I came here with a friend and her kids & we had the best time. I got the 1/3lb chocolate chip cookie and thought I’d died and gone to Heaven! It was the perfect combo of gooey and warm yet golden brown. The environment is so fun and SO Huntsville - the mix of science and food theming is evident from the periodic table of baking elements to all the lab decor. The staff were friendly & helpful and I love that this business supports living wages! I will be back again & again!

A complete knock out of the park! I arrived on a Friday morning and was met with the friendliest girl working the counter. She explained each item with great knowledge. You could tell she was passionate about what she does! She even struck up a conversation about the book I had with me. The sausage bake was complete perfection. I also ordered a filtered coffee which was fresh, hot, and perfectly balanced. I sat in a seat in the sun and I was transformed into another world. The sausage bake was so tasty I went back for a Cinnabomb and even went back the next day for the focaccia egg bake. This is a gem for downtown Huntsville and I can’t wait to return!

This Huntsville bakery and coffee shop is a favorite of mine. I love to meet here for coffee and a pastry. I've had the blueberry muffin and the monkey bread (*pictured after a bite was taken - oops!) for breakfast... both are big enough to share. Don't forget to leave with a cookie or two or three... they are the best cookies and also big enough to share. I'm looking forward to trying the kolaches next time and the fresh squeezed orange juice. As far as the store itself, the staff are always friendly, there is plenty of seating and I've never had trouble finding a parking spot nearby (usually on a side street on the same block). 10/10 recommend you give this place a try... you will not be disappointed!

Move over every single bake shop in Huntsville! There is a new boss in town. Been there twice and loved it both times.
Wow1/2 lb blueberry muffins, monkey bread, apple hand pies, and the colaches are all out of this world. Great selection and customer service.

Such a blast at the coolest new bakery in town! We brought a bunch of kiddos in, and they were so cool about it! Super fun breakfast concoctions and the yummiest giant cookies! My 3 year old demolished a 1/2 lb blueberry muffin, and I got a Sausage & Gravy kolache and rosemary focaccia breakfast bake... I couldn't decide! Twists on classics that were delicious. I'm excited to go back and try new stuff. They don't have a massive selection right now--they told me they're in Phase 1, slowly rolling things out. Smart business! The goodies aren't cheap, but they pay their people a living wage and use quality ingredients --I'm happy to pay a few extra pennies for quality and to support a new local venue! Excited to go back and try the hand pies!! Absolutely recommend!!!

We went to the Bakingtist on a Saturday morning and ordered about 6 pastries and cookies. Every single one was amazing! Our cappuccino and americano were delicious and the ambiance and staff were fantastic. They are my favorite bakery in town now and I will absolutely be back.

If you have not tried The Bakingtist in downtown Huntsville, you are missing out! You will have a Eureka moment when the food hits your taste buds. They have the best blueberry muffins that this southern boyhas ever tasted. The cookies are out of this world, which is perfect for the Rocket City. All jokes aside, I have not tried an item yet that I would not go back for seconds. Besides the food and coffee being excellent, the staff is by far the friendliest in Huntsville. Heide, the owner, is a master chemicist in the kitchen and extremely helpful. So visit The Bakingist as soon as possible or your taste buds will never forgive you!

Hidden gem in DT HSV. The food is incredible and the coffee is on point. Try the apple filled cruffin...it's awesome!
The cookies are a 1/3lb of batter. Huge and delicious. Crisp outside while still soft and gooey inside.
Encourage Heidi to start making breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Fresh made bread pockets! Yes!!!
Support the local small businesses and give this a try. You won't be disappointed!!
