Best ice cream place on the planet! So cheap too!

I visited this small family owned and operated ice cream shop located in downtown Fairhope while I was down here for Thanksgiving! The shop is located off of De La Mare Avenue on the left side of the road right next to CK Collections Men's store.

I ordered their signature drink, the Fairhope Float which was recommended by the owner; Chris! The Fairhope Float is their own unique twist on the classic Coke or Root Beer float. It is made with iced mochaccino, vanilla yogurt ice cream, whipped cream and then topped with your choice of chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon or nutmeg powder. Can I get a, "YUUUUUMYYYY!!!" The Float has a nice smooth creamy coffee flavor with a hint of chocolate. I was immediately sold when I saw coffee and ice cream in the drink description! The price tag on this bad boy is $5.34 (includes tax).

I can't wait to visit Fairhope again and get my hands on another Fairhope Float.I highly recommend checking out Mr Gene's Beans shop and trying this sweet treat; especially if you are visiting Fairhope from out of town!

Fun little place downtown Fairhope with good ice cream choices and coffees. It's right beside the French Quartier area.

First off Mr. Gene’s beans is THE BEST I’ve live in fairhope my whole life and that place has the best service the people there are so nice and kind hearted and also would like to personally recommend the old Dutch Cookie Monster is what I think it’s called but my favorite flavor and the fairhope float is fantastic the last thing I would like to say is what age do y’all hire at?

I can’t say enough about Mr. Gene’s Beans! It’s well priced, fun, and delicious! Get a couple scoops in a cup or a cone or opt for something more special like the Fairhope Float (my fav). They have indoor and outdoor seating. The employees are always kind and patient. We visit here almost every day when we are in Fairhope.

The best hours in town! We've enjoyed Gene's Beans for over a decade, and always bring our out-of-town guests here. The kids and my husband always get cones; I usually get a Fairhope Float. We often walk to the Bay with our treats. My only wish: wifi. I'd love to sit and work there.

Ice cream, good ice cream. Too many warning signs to customers for my comfortability. Can't put toppings on ice cream cones, must spend X dollars on card or you're in for a $0.50 upcharge. I would recommend you up your prices, or learn to deal with the fees it cost to run a business.

Cute little coffee shop. Pastries were tasty. Had to wait in a pretty long line to get coffee but not a big deal. Fairhope is a quaint city and places like this fit right in.

Mr. Genes Beans is something we do as a family every time we come to Fairhope. I use to do this with my mom as a kid and I have fond memories of it.
It is a short walk to the park where the kids can run off all the yummy sugar they just ate!
