Refuge Coffee Roastery

Stopped in for a quick coffee and ended up sitting for a while. Nice relaxed vibe throughout this small, yet open cafe. Clean, warm welcoming atmosphere will have you wanting to sit and stay for a spell. I tried the Hit & Sit and it was quite enjoyable. They make their own syrups in house and the care and quality shows. Their signature syrup is a honey with cinnamon that is very good in a latte. Give these guys a stop when you are in the area.

Best gourmet coffee shop I’ve visited since moving to southern Alabama. Low prices for the level of care & quality! The menu is appropriately small to highlight their amazing offerings.

This is my favorite coffee in town. I love, love, love the taste of the coffee here, and my personal obsession is the lavender coffee. I love to visit on Wednesday when the Green & Grain food truck is parked out front.

It’s a cool place, but if you ask for a white mocha you WILL NOT get it. They have no WC, Caramel, hazelnut…. Nothing.
Their only flavors are Mocha, vanilla & lavender !?!?🤦🏼‍♀️
In place, I got a Vanilla latte. Thank God they had a bre’ve option. (Half & half).
I don’t think I’ll come back.

This is one of the best coffee shops I have ever been to from the atmosphere to the staff. I love the warm relaxing feeling that the coffee shop offers. It is definitely a place you can sit all day and enjoy the best tasting coffee in Baldwin County! I love Brice!

Refuge is so understated on the outside. Inside it's a handsome sanctuary to enjoy some first-rate beans. The prices are great, it's clean and well lit; and it offers a number of seating options to social distance or share time with others. Brands are roasted in house and the espresso is rich with an impressive creamy head, but not so bold that you'll have to brace before sipping; smooth with no bitterness. They have a few non-coffee offerings and things to nosh. A fine place to plan your day!

Perfect place to run in and get a to-go iced mocha, or linger awhile over a lavender latte. Great coffee, good vibes.
