Coffee Makes You Black

The service was excellent they have wonderful food and coffee. Wishing to taste the coffee which I thought was the staple. Maybe a variety of coffee will be afford you 5 stars

The reason why I gave it a two-star it's because the waiter that was there she was not attendant to anyone needs it was like we weren't asking for much and she forgot items that we had ordered and there was not really that many people there and it was about 12:00 noon this Saturday day

Excellent American breakfast with a few soul food flares to make it unique. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is laid back. Would totally be 4 stars if food service was faster. Never a wait to be seated but can easily wait 30 plus to get your meal. Take some reading materials and you will be fine.

Customer service was very poor. The wait time just to be acknowledge was longer than normal. Our waitress didn't really have a clue on what to do but that's not her fault. When the food finally did come we got pancakes that were very hard we couldn't eat them we even sent them back and got the same thing on the new set. The chicken and waffles were good. I just can't take the chance of ever going back.

My first experience here and everything was incredible. I love the atmosphere and smooth music along with a great welcoming feel. London was both friendly and consistent with making sure I had everything I needed. I ordered the delicious chicken n waffles and fried potatoes and both were mind blowing! Hot fresh syrup and more than enough to get you through your meal. Laurie the owner was a delight and very personable. A great way to both start and end your trip in Milwaukee. A true experience.

I remember when this place opened. It is a true landmark and social spot.
