I enjoy trying out different coffee shops in the Seattle area and Venture Coffee Co is easily one of my favorite places to go, the coffee is consistently delicious.

The coffee is great, but that bacon egg and cheese sandwich was out of this world! The bun they used was soft and eggy... Possibly a brioche bun. Also they used a real egg which the yolk was cooked just perfect so it was still yolk-y but didn't run down my face. Definitely get that sandwich. Cute decor too.

I don't even like coffee very much! I love all of the specialty drinks here, they are flavorful, smooth and not overly sweet. The decor is wonderful and there are great standing benches near the windows that I use when I'm working from home. One of my favorite spots in Ballard!

I love working from this cafe. Great coffee and treats. Good atmosphere too! This one time crows were roosting outside and attacking everyone who walked by and it was fantastic to watch.

Best service in Ballard, and very consistent quality. A total gem! Pastries (not made in house) are decent but go here for the coffee and calm atmosphere. The owner is really nice and has a great memory for repeat visitors.

This place has some of the best coffee in Seattle, and it has a pleasant and homey atmosphere. I'm not very fond of the food though, and it's a little expensive. Also, the owner is not very nice to his staff, and it sometimes shows. Not in their attitude towards customers (almost always charming and pleasant), but sometimes they seem a bit beaten down.
Though just this morning one of the staff told me they couldn't make a drink they've made several times for me before.

Easily some of the best coffee in the area. The staff is professional and friendly. They serve Hagen Coffee Roasters and while it is super important to source good coffee (which they do), it's equally important to know how to brew it well and they certainly know what they're doing! They do great work!

My partner and I used to be regulars, but our past couple of experiences have been disappointing. The chai tea was subpar- overly sweet and the only notable flavor was star anise, with no real notes of cinnamon, pepper, clove, or other spices. My sandwich was soggy and slimy, to the point that the bread basically disintegrated, and despite my hunger I couldn't finish the thing. The lid on my partner's drink leaked, spilling all over her on the first sip (we confirmed that the lid was tight and secured to the cup, but that didn't matter- it still leaked). Top that off with the joint generally being overcrowded and the flow of traffic making poor sense (causing a consistent bottleneck at the front door), and we're not keen on returning.

I think this place has a great atmosphere. Unpretentious, calm, neighborhood feel. Lots of locals just enjoying each other's company, sitting around chatting. This is like a welcoming livingroom!
I'm allergic to caffeine so I can't comment on their coffee quality, but I did love my chamomile tea. Will definitely be back!

The owner and staff of Java Bean Organic Coffee are truly and honestly committed to building a friendly, welcoming, community oriented atmosphere. On my first visit, they treated me like an old friend. As I sat working I heard them greet almost every patron by first name as they came through.
That's not even to mention the delicious beverage creations and innovations being brewed behind the counter. A wonderful and comfortable spot.
