5 star experience - esp since I love their speciality drinks, the pastries are amaZing, and nice that they have options for food with more substance (egg sandwiches, avocado toast, quiche, etc). However, it does seem slightly more expensive than other coffee shop options.

Delicious breakfast sandos and lattes! The perfect way to start your day. Staff was all very friendly and we really enjoyed our orders.

They have such nice, airy atmosphere. It was busy, but wasn't noisy. Somehow a very relaxing place for a cup of coffee. I was also very pleasantly surprised by their baked goods selection. It is from Freya bakery, really delicious stuff. Yummmm. Stop by if you are looking for a coffee with a treat around Ballard. They also nice seating area outside.

Stepped in because curious about the super latte sign outside. I ordered beet root latte. Never thought about beet root can be mixed with coffee, however they did a amazing job to it! I can feel their super latte maybe inspired by chai latte. The beet root latte did taste rich of spice and of course the taste of beet root. It's a interesting try. I like it. Gonna try their other super latte. The environment is quite comfy. Pretty chilled place for spending with friends or with a book.

Java Bean makes great coffee beverages and the baristas are very friendly. I also love their cosy lodge-like decor and fireplace. walking here every morning for a cup of Joe is part of my daily routine.

Best coffee shop in Ballard. Hands down. As a virtual worker I have tried nearly every coffee shop in Seattle, this is the only place I will work from. If you are visiting Seattle its the perfect capsule of Seattle coffee culture. Unlike most coffee shops they make their own syrups and you can tell. Their brown sugar vanilla latte turned me into a coffee drinker. Their baristas are always nice and the perfect amount of chatty. The coffee shop is filled with regulars, dog's making guest appearances, and outlets. Alex, the manager could not be more of a warm presence.

Cozy shop with great coffee. Very limited seating due to small space but I think if they rearranged the tables and got rid of the bulky furniture set (lol) it could be improved. Great playlist and friendly staff!

Nice and cozy place to spend some quiet time with friends or family. Coffee is great as well as the sweets and the sandwiches. Make sure you don't miss it out if you come to Ballard.

This place is unforgettable. Because it’s the first and only time I’ve ever experienced someone walking in on me using the restroom. I dipped so hard they still have to rename Ursa Minor.
Delicious espresso and breakfast, although the sandwiches could be grilled a little longer. You have to eat it quick or it’ll get cold too fast.

It's a welcoming cafe with a neighborly vibe. I saw several people coming and going and being addressed by name. The interior is nice, albeit cluttered and the table I sat at was wobbly including the chair. I ordered a Fancy Avocado Toast, Danish Salmon Lox Bagel, Cappuccino, and Mole Mocha. The Avocado Toast was tasty with a ripe avocado and fresh ingredients. The portion was small and pricey ($9). The Danish Salmon Lox was tasty as well - no complaints. The Cappucino was OK. It needed some sugar, but they only had Stevia and Splenda. I put some Cacao and it made the drink good. The Mole Mocha was surprisingly good. It was like drinking hot chocolate with a subtle spice. It was unique and appreciated. Overall, this is a nice cafe and I'll likely be back.
